Hello, My name is Octavia Mcleod I'm 34 yrs of age and I'm blessed to have three beautiful children. One of kids which is 12, he really is my nephew but I raised him as my son since birth. He is the reason I'm currently in the care giving field. He has hit my a motor vehicle and required years of nursing, therapy, 24 hour around the clock care due to severe traumatic brain injuries he was left with. He was only 4 at the time so this has not only became a job to me it became a passion to me to care for not only him but others as well. I had in house RNs in my house for 5 years until I requested to care for him myself. Being a caregiver provides families with extra support for their live ones especially when families have jobs and families of their own and don't have the extra time to care for a love one that really needs that extra care and love. Being a caregiver allows me to give, love, support, help, and comfort and for that I feel accomplished every day when I come home to my family, knowing I have do those things for someone whom may not have that.

I am a mother of two kids I have been married for six years I have a lot of experience in private homes/group homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and assistant care homes such a s memory care a total of 10+ years. I love what I do to keep smiles on family members faces and making others last days special I feel that everyone deserves peace on this world and a helping hand

Hi, my name is Michelle. I am a 50 year old mother of 3 and have one grandson that is 10 years old that I adore. I have spent my entire life caring for others, whether it be my family or clients. I feel like God has given me a gift of compassion that spills over in everything that I do. I have always had a passion for helping people. I have been to nursing school, but because of unforeseen circumstances, had to quit one month before graduating. I started working as a caregiver shortly after that about 10 years ago. I have worked for clients with dementia, Parkinson's disease, cancer and just for companionship. I have assisted with all ADL's, bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, housekeeping, shopping, medication, ambulatory assistance, doctor appointments, running errands, etc. I love being able to help someone in the stage of life where most feel like they are a burden and useless. I try my best to help them feel independent and useful, as well as have dignity that they may feel they have lost. I always try my best to treat each client as I would my own family. Everyone deserves to feel loved and important. God says to treat everyone as you would want to be treated.
