My grandmother worked in this field until her health wouldn't allow it anymore. She loved it, and so did I so I stated working with her. I cared for a woman for almost 9 years, I was her sole caregiver, I enjoy caring for others, its what defines me. I do it in a way that doesn't hurt my patients pride, because I know that losing their mobility and not being able to do for themselves hurts, and depresses them. I always make them feel like they are in control. All I can say is this is what I I've for, this is what makes me happy.
It is my nature to be a caregiver. I have always been predisposed to taking care of others. I have a great attitude and a lot of energy. I helped take care of my father who had a brain disease, my cousin who had ALS and I worked in a hospital as a CNA - it was a natural progression to move into caregiving. I enjoy making life easier for others when possible and that is why I continue.
What makes me a capable, compassionate and trusted care giver is my background and experience in both psychology and Social Work. My advanced education, internships and former career as a clinical Social Worker are valuable assests. I bring a unique perspective to the role of caregiver. I have experience working with clients with a diagnosis of dementia. I decided to end my career path as a Clinical Social worker to care for my own aging parents with their own complicated health issues. As a therapist I worked with many elderly clients concerning the important need for both independence and assistance throughout the aging process. It was both and honor and a privilege to forge strong clinical, theraputic relationships with them. As far as my personality I am an outgoing, talkative listener. This means that I love to chat but love to listen just as much. I feel very comfortable in social situations and meeting new people. And I love to cook! My proudest achievement was attending graduate school and holding down a full-time job for much of the duration. I graduated with a 3.93. I was a tenacious and dedicated student. I am no longer a licensed Social Worker but I am looking for the opportunity to help others, especially elders. I believe that my education and professional experience make me a strong candidate for a role as a caregiver.
My commitment to serving as a compassionate and knowledgeable caregiver--as well as my superior communication and organizational skills--give me confidence in my ability to significantly assist and improve individuals I give care. From assisting individuals with day-to-day tasks and offering physical and emotional support to providing companionship and enhancing their quality of life, my background has prepared me to excel in this role. Consider the following highlights of my qualifications: Performing a range of daily responsibilities--including medication administration, meal preparation, errand running, and grooming/personal hygiene--to alleviate physical demands on patients and contribute to positive living environments. Utilizing superior problem-solving abilities to provide optimal solutions and support in difficult and stressful situations. With my previous experience as a caregiver for more than 8 years, complemented by my dedication to providing comprehensive assistance and support to those in need, I believe I could swiftly surpass expectations for this role. Opportunities to discuss the position in further detail would be most welcome.
I'm a great Mom....I cared for my mother though her dementia. I began working full time with Alzheimer's and Dementia soon after that. The best sound I hear and actively seek is laughter with joy! I'd would be happy to go back to childcare. I've 9 years of private infant care to 3 year and beyond. Those kids are graduating high school. The best education I'll ever receive is having a little brother that's mentally challenged. He keeps me so positive! I admit I'm a tad jealous of his peace with his world, nothing phases him for long....We have a saying, 'this too shall pass'. Our precious Mom taught us well!

Isaiah 46:4 And even to your old age I am he; and even to gray hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and deliver you. I AM SENT FROM HEAVEN CAREGIVER

I am a very dedicated, loving and ,passionate person. I treat my residents as though they were my family. I grew up around care giving, my mother has been a caregiver for 20+ years. I have always loved seeing the satisfaction my mother had from her job which inspired me to follow in her foot steps. There are so many things that make this a rewarding career, my personal favorite is the relationships you build along the way, to sit and talk to someone about their life and give them a friend as well as a helper. The highest achievement, I feel is the satisfaction of the family you are working for, as well as satisfaction of the resident. This is the main goal I strive for in my work

I have worked at customer Service at Kohl's department store for eight years and enjoy working with the public meeting new people and helping people! I only work one day a week for health benefits. My heart is helping people feel better. Currently working at home instead but looking for one or two clients in my area Taylorsville. back ground check is available upon request
I have been working as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 11 years. I started this work when both of my grandmothers had a stroke. Seeing them not being able to take care of themselves made me want to take care of others. I have worked in home care for 10 years. I have not met any client I did not love like family. I'm a mother of two boys and very much a family type person.
