I have been working as a caregiver for 13 years My experience consists of Personal Care (bathing dressing,, grooming, etc.), toileting, light housekeeping, meal prep, running errands, providing transportation, medication management /administration, strength exercises, assistance w/transferring or sitting with your loved ones while you run errands or if you just simply need the day or night out.. i've had a lot of experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's clients. I am a caring, patient, friendly, reliable and trustworthy person who enjoys helping others. I have many years of experience in the medical field, amongst other odd jobs and my own personal experiences caring for my elderly grandparents who have since passed on. My most recent elder care job was with a 94 year old couple. The wife had dementia and I cared for her for about a year and a half. After she passed I continued to care for he husband until I recently moved to far away to continue with this family. I know the importance of companionship and the importance of having help for individuals who still want to maintain a certain level of independence. I enjoy spending time with people and I love animals. I have volunteered my time for many animal shelters, I have cared for foster animals & I have dedicated my time to therapeutic riding centers for children. I have also worked with high school foreign exchange students.
