After a massive Corporate downsizing, I have changed careers and turned to the Healthcare field. I have over 30 years experience taking care of family and clients, ranging from neonatal, special needs including quadriplegia, to hospice care. The last 20 years have also included dementia/stroke, oxygen, TPN, feeding tubes and post operative care. In addition, I have also been asked by 2 clients to become their personal assistant. This included travel to the grocery store, doctor appointments, downsizing homes, moving packing and unpacking, traveling across country and also property managed my clients home while it was on the market to sell. Hello, my name is Melba! My experience with caregiving started the year of 2010. I started caring seniors to make a difference in their lives. For people with high levels of care needed, my support in invaluable. Treating them with attentive, proper, and respectful care is a significant role to ensure they retain their dignity and independence during the latter stages of life. For me, helping seniors and others is a great accomplishment and feels highly rewarding, knowing that I could turn a unbearable day into a great one. Caregiving taught me knowledge from listening to experiences and stories one might gladly share. Memories are priceless and can give a wonderful insight and transport you to a time from a person's different perspective. To me, having that kind of opportunity gives life more meaning. As we can connect with an individual in such a way, we also learn to appreciate and be more empathetic towards others. And to be an encouraging helping hand when someone needs it the most!

I'm kind, passionate and have patience I decided to become a caregiver after my grandma was ill and I had taken her into my home and took care of her for 3 years and after she passed I had started looking for a agency to do caregiving with as I wanted to help other families with their loved ones I like being a caregiver cause I'm kind have patience and love to work with rhe elderly I have done alot of personal care skills training and also Alzheimer's and Dementia training

Single mom of a teenager Started caregiving 6 years ago The people I have met has made me a stronger person and I love what I do, love the variety of people I have met , but in this job you have to be very patient and know how to deal with a lot of challenges and behaviors, are jobs aren't easy and you have to deal with stressful situations and know how to deal with them , every year we have to take are annual Training and refresher courses, my main specialty is Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, but that's why I love my job to help people and sometimes they need to someone to talk too, or just a shoulder to cry on, being a single parent makes me stronger in doing my job and know I have someone to live for and help older clients in there daily lives and endeavors.

CG for about two years. I help them with COVId-19 vaccination and test, and just the basic caregiving job with the family.

I love making my clients happy

A great caregiver is one who is skilled, experienced, and possesses the human qualities of compassion, patience, caring and understanding. He or she is essentially some one who genuinely likes people and has a need to serve. I became a caregiver because I like to take care of people and truly think I do an excellent job. I like to make people happy and see their smiling faces. My most challenging and rewarding job was taking care of a lady who was bedridden for over three years before she died and needed considerably attention. I also worked cooperatively with the hospice team. I have a degree in art and bring this ability to enrich my companionship with my clients.

Being a caregiver has become the most rewarding job. I worked closely with a family the last three years, and being able to provide in home care, and allowing husband and wife to stay together was wonderful. I have 20+years of experience.

I'm a hard worker never complaint. I enjoy to be a caregiver I'm very open mind honest I love make smile and joy on people life. I'm very proud to be a caretaker.
