I became a Certified Nurse Assistant, because I was fascinated by the opportunity to help others in need. I particularly enjoy caring for individuals in the comforts of their home. I have been a CNA since 1997, working in hospitals, home health, mental health, and nursing homes. I have always went above and beyond my job description. I take great pride in my work and give my clients the best quality of life to the best of my ability. I possess a vast amount of experience, and have always strived to perfect my profession. Therefore always taking opportunities to learn and become knowledgeable of new procedures, etc. I have always made it a priority to be knowledgeable, and able to perform duties that over exceed my credentials. Whether those procedures require the supervision of a higher authority, I'm always fascinated to perform them when given the opportunity. I'm always trying to take my job title, and credentials to the highest level of my potential and knowledge. Therefore will make it a priority to take those skills to the next level when I continue my education, and earn a higher degree in the health care field.
I love the hands on care and attention that i give to each individual that i have taken care of, i am very compassionate when it comes to being a caregiver. I treat those as I would want to be treated once I reach the age were I may need someone to come take care of me me. I love to sit and talk and I make sure that all their needs have been met. I have two children of my own a son 24 and a daughter 18, I have my own transportation. At the end of the day my goal is to put a smile on someones face and make them feel good and comfortable.
I am a caregiver by nature. What I like about being a caregiver is that I care for people in many ways that others don't. My personal achievement is that I've done this type of work for over 30 years. I myself have been doing this work since 1978 I am 57 years old. I have worked both nursing home & private duty.
Since I was a little girl I've always wanted to help people. I use to help with anything and I got joy, peace, and happiness when I helped those in need and they appreciated it. I love to see the smile and feel the warmth of my clients or residents, that lets me know that they feel loved, safe and comfortable. I'm personally proud that I got my CNA despite of what others thought, or felt. I achieved something that will help build my career and life in the medical field helping others, bring peace and joy to their lives. I'm a very caring and compassionate person, I have a way with people and communicating with them. I'm an empathetic person, my goal in everything I do is to give my best and achieve greatness.

Hi, my name is Rachel I love helping & caring for others. I went to school for my nursing assistant certification back in 2012, I am not currently "certified" as a CNA but I am still aware of the practices & techniques involved in proper care and I would love to help out with basic care! I graduated from a small Bible college back in 2011, in Kansas city, MO and have been living back home in the Fairview hgts area since then. I live with food allergies so I love keeping current on reading up on them and proper ways to handle them. As well as keeping my crazy very demanding cat busy. She LOVES to play fetch! I hope to be able to go back to school and work towards finishing my RN so healthcare is something I am looking to advance in as a lifetime career not just a "job."
