Hello! My name is Desiree and I have been caregiving professionally since 2008 beginning with my cousin with developmental disabilities. My first job after high school was housekeeping in nursing home and hospital and I always found myself trying to interact with the clients, whether it just be conversations or pushing them back to their rooms after meals. I have mostly worked in CILA homes taking care of the developmentally disabled and I absolutely enjoyed every moment and every prrsonality I ever met! Never a full moment, I began as a DSP and was a house manager for the same company. I have also worked some side jobs taking care of the elderly, a couple until they passed, and another until she just didn't need the extra help Amy more. I have wanted be a caregiver for as long as I can remember, I had a grandpa that had lost both legs, one due to a stroke and the other because of Gangrene. My grandmother need a lot of help with him from changing diapers to helping with feeding once he got a feeding tube, and I was always their! I don't feel like myself unless I'm helping someone else live their best life!

I'm a great caregiver because I take care of people with gentleness and kindness and dignity and respect as if it were my on family member.

I grew up watching my parents taking care of my grand parents , I guess it comes naturally to me doing the same . Taking care of other gives you that inner satisfaction which is hard to find in other work settings. I'm proud to be a Nurse . Caregiving for more than 5years and "still love what I do"I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so.The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right.
