Single mom of a teenager Started caregiving 6 years ago The people I have met has made me a stronger person and I love what I do, love the variety of people I have met , but in this job you have to be very patient and know how to deal with a lot of challenges and behaviors, are jobs aren't easy and you have to deal with stressful situations and know how to deal with them , every year we have to take are annual Training and refresher courses, my main specialty is Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, but that's why I love my job to help people and sometimes they need to someone to talk too, or just a shoulder to cry on, being a single parent makes me stronger in doing my job and know I have someone to live for and help older clients in there daily lives and endeavors.

Summer Update [?]: I am free and available for the entire summer until day after Labor Day, in which afterwards, I go back to my schedule below. After Labor Day Availability: I am available late evenings, overnight til 4am w/sleep, & some weekends can be negotiated. What makes me a great caregiver is my patience and ability to take the lead to discern when a situation needs action or not. I have had many clients whose demands were very different but I adjusted right away bc I do understand the need for each person to have dignity and still feel as though they have a level of independence. I have serviced those as young as 38 with terminal cancer to those who were a mature age of 88 with heart, mobility, and respiratory issues, dementia, Alzheimer's, and bed-ritten, so I am well-rounded. I am a mother of 2 boys now young men and I am married but I have still devoted countless hours for my clients, even living in with them 24/7 and working 12 to 24 hour days, 7 days a week. I do not mind at all. I am gracious and love people too much. I will be a promising catch.

What makes me a great caregiver? Patience is the most important thing a caregiver should have, those who provide home care to others need to be patient, have the compassion and ability to help others. When someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Why did you become a caregiver? When I help those in need I feel better, helping people will always make me feel complete. What do you like about being a caregiver? Taking care of sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them that care. What is a personal achievement you are proud off? Provided exceptional palliative care to elderly and children, provided them with a happy and comfortable life. Just finished my CNA classes hoping to take my CNA Exam by March to enable me enroll in nursing school so that I can full help people in need.
