I became a caregiver because I enjoyed helping people in need. I really like the interactions you have with the patient. I love to hear all about their stories of their life. I have 19 years of experience as a CNA. I am very compassionate and have a huge heart. I used to go to work with my mother as a child at the nursing homes. I knew then that's what I wanted to do when I was old enough. I truly take every patient as a member of my family. I enjoy spending quality time with each patient to fully meet their needs. I love making someone's day brighter.
I have lived with and cared for my grandmother (88 years old as of today), since age 14. She had Polio as a child and has always been handicapped. She is able to care for herself somewhat, however I prepare her meals, take her to appointments, and keep her company. I stepped up at a young age when my grandfather passed away in 1997. I have always had compassion for others, and being able to help others gives me true joy. I worked outside the home as well as caring for her since the beginning. She is able to maintain during the day as long as I have everything prepared and her medication sorted and administered. I cook and clean well, and don't mind doing so. Please ask any questions you may have.
