I am a compassionate and caring person with 10 plus years experience as a Certified Nurses Aide. I am on time for work and am rarely sick. I have worked in a hospital setting for the past 15 years. I like to get to know the patients I care for and I want them to get to know me. I have a good sense of humor and try my best to make patients feel good about themselves. If the patient feels good about who is caring for them they feel more comfortable and makes the family more comfortable.
Skills & Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
My name is Ashley Wiebe. I am 29 years old and a wife and mother of 4 beautiful children. In my free time I like to sit down and read a good book. What makes me a great caregiver is that I believe the client is #1. Their needs are my job and it is my job to make sure he/she is happy and comfortable. I am loyal, reliable, patient, dependable, on-time, caring, observant, and a great listener. I was a nanny for 15 years so I have always had a passion to take care of someone if that was a child or adult. What really got me interested in becoming a caregiver was after my grandmother passed away and I helped take care of her while battling Alzheimer's. It was eye opening for me and I wanted to learn who to become better at caregiving. I really enjoy most from my job is the relationship that builds between me and a client. Having fun and bringing joy to their day and mine.
Skills & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I have a big heart. I am willing to help others and care for them. Not only am I doing my job, but I create a bond with my clients, it is more than just a job. Being there to comfort them and hands-on when needed. What attracted me to being a caregiver is growing up I watched my grandfather need the help. I enjoyed being there for him to the point where he felt comfortable enough to be in the state he was in. The most exciting part of being a caregiver is creating that bond with my clients to the point where they want me to come back. It is not always about being there for just the job and them needing help , I like being open to them and more like a friend then an employee. I am proud of helping others. I know that with my ability to be there for others good things will come upon me.

The thing that makes me a great care giver is I've worked with both kids and adults. You may be thinking yea, so has a lot of other people. When I work with kids I know their way of thinking and can connect with them on many levels, because children are less complex and its easy for me to read and nurture them in more ways than one. When I work with adults, I know they're either older or my age and treat them with respect. I don't under mind them just because they need need a companion and/or help. I also love to help and please people, frankly doing it in a more comfortable setting for them is great for me and them because they're not out of their element and can be more easier for the both of us. I was my sister's caregiver for a long time before she passed away from lupus and diabetes. I've done many of the things you're asking for in a care giver. Give me a chance to help you loved ones in a way you want them to be cared for.
Being able to empathize allows me to put myself in the patient's shoes, and identify and ease the patient's fears or discomfort. Patience and flexibility. There'll be many hurdles along the way-the patient is being stubborn and uncooperative, the schedule doesn't go as planned, or difficult situations arise. I will find a way to deal with this in a positive way. Having a good sense of humor. Is a good indicator that I would be able to tolerate and deal with difficult situations, which is essential because caregiving involves conditions that more people would find hard or challenging.
A great caregiver is one who is skilled, experienced, and possesses the human qualities of compassion, patience, caring and understanding. He or she is essentially some one who genuinely likes people and has a need to serve. I became a caregiver because I like to take care of people and truly think I do an excellent job. I like to make people happy and see their smiling faces. My most challenging and rewarding job was taking care of a lady who was bedridden for over three years before she died and needed considerably attention. I also worked cooperatively with the hospice team. I have a degree in art and bring this ability to enrich my companionship with my clients.
I have worked with the elderly in the past I love working and helping them thru their daily life task. They are the most amazing people I have ever spent time with. So if you give me a chance I will so you how hard working, dependable and I will treat the resident like they were my own family...
I am a compassionate, skilled worker who can work long hours and accomplish several tasks at once. I was brought on into caregiving because of my brother John, who is quadriplegic, and a handful when he knew I would be around. I learned a lot through specific classes, yet also a lot just by him instructing me. I enjoy my work because it is a passion of mine to give great service to those who cant, but also I've seen what bad or mediocre service can do in the long run. A personal achievement of mine, that I am proud of, was spending a year and 6 months in Biloxi, MS helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
