I am very loving of others around me . I love helping others with ANYTHING. I've been learning and doing home care with my grandmother from the age of 9 until she recently passed 2 years ago. I'm most happy when I'm able to help those in need. A personal achievement for me is graduating high school at the early age of 16.

I have 20 years of experience in the medical/nursing field. I've worked in nursing homes, hospitals, and agencies and have found that in home care is the field best suited for me. I tend to be drawn toward Alzheimer/dementia patients as I'm learning my approach in care, they tend to respond to me best. I have worked with several families and helped to restore certain independence to patients with walking, dressing, feeding themselves. I ran a restorative therapy program for over two years in a nursing facility before deciding to take a home care position with an agency.

Caregiving is the act of providing help and comfort to another person. It can involve many different activities, such as grocery shopping; help with dressing, eating, toileting; or providing emotional support to another person while they navigate a physical, emotional, or health challenge.

I have a strong belief that you spoil the client but you don't not baby them . Meaning I strongly believe you help the client maintain their independence as much as possible. I care for all my clients as I would my own family.

I decided to become a caregiver because i am very compassionate and eager to help people especially those who need direct care. i also enjoy working with older population and what i enjoy the most is knowing that i make someone happy everyday by helping with activities of daily living. my personal achievement is graduating college. i am very easy to work it , very positive about life and i am a very fast learner.

I think I am a great caregiver because I pay strict attention to the needs and wants of my clients. I became a caregiver, after I retired, because I love people and have a passion to help. What I like most about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to be of assistance in any way that I can for people. I have a very loving, caring heart and out of the many clients that I've had, I can honestly say, I've loved them and they have loved me as well. Besides all of that, I enjoy the wonderful conversations that we have and enjoy the many stories I've heard from them. I have patience and I like to show my clients the special attention that they want and need.

I treat my clients like family and I love my job I just recently came back to this field of work although it pays less this is where my heart is at especially after loosing my sister I knew I had to get back to what gives me so much joy

My name is Gloria , I live in Fishers,in What do I like about being a caregiver? It gives me great comfort and satisfaction in helping someone else in need of care . I have been doing this for several years either by running errands, fixing or feeding someone their meals. I help by doing light house work, laundry, or whatever someone might need while I am with them. I have worked , at St Luke Home for the elderly. I have work for primrose schools Love sports and to read. Always open to doing fundraising or cold calling when need I, also, have three sons, who over the last 20 years needed me to assist in getting them to and from doctor and hospital appointments . All three sons were in need of a kidney and were in one stage of dialysis or in the hospital recovering. All have recovered and are doing well . My last son received his a year and a half ago. Now I am reaching out to help someone in need of assistance, who would need my help to get around fishers or someone who needs a caregiver to help in the home. I took care of my mother until she passed she broke her hip n went down hill with her health after that she had cold around other illnesses! I enjoy the time with elderly people because the r wise they have experienced so much! I enjoy the company!

I'm a caring person that will help others people that in need with respect and treat them well. My attraction as a caregiver is like I just enjoy helping others. I enjoy great conversation with them and happy when I saw them happy. I'm proud when my clients request and told my agency how I' ve being doing my job well with respect. I also proud when I went to work with clients and done all of my duties before I left the clients place and don't leave nothing behind for other caregiver to do.
