Hi, my name is Lauren. I'm 31 and currently reside in Southern Indiana. Born and raised here! I graduated from New Albany High School in 2009. I had my daughter, Layla. In 2010. I got my start into Healthcare in 2011. I obtained my CNA and worked in a nursing facility until 2015 when I made the switch to home health care. I'm very empathetic, bubbly, talkative. I take pride in providing the best care for your loved ones.

I am at a place in my life where I have found that giving back is what life is actually all about. I have a high level of integrity and apply my very best at anything that I do. I have always been told that I have a genuine personality and am easy to relate to. I try to carry kindness and be of service everywhere I go, because you never know what someone else is going through. These are all reasons why I am drawn to caregiving. I also enjoy baking, conversating (getting others to open up), and walking or anything to do with the outside. One of my proudest achievements was putting myself through phlebotomy school especially when the odds seemed to be stacked against me (which also means that I have medical experience and have been CPR certified).

I enjoy making my residents smile, I try to brighten everyone's day and be a companion to all. My mom has worked in the Healthcare field since I was little and I also knew I wanted to do the same. I enjoy almost everything about my job. I love fixing all of my ladies hair or helping them pick clothes out and painting their finger nails. I enjoy hearing all of their stories. Becoming a friend to everyone. I have a very giving heart.

I enjoy helping others in a variety of capacities. I have worked for a handful of individuals who have had SCI's and am constantly amazed by their determination and their ability to continue on with life. I feel that I am constantly learning and would love to pass on my knowledge to others. I feel that my job isn't "cookie cutter", it is truly about making the life of my client easier in whatever way possible. No task is too small if it is what needs to be done. My parents taught me two things that I try to incorporate into every job that I have. One to leave things better than you found it, and to do what needs to be done, before you are asked to do it. I am very good with details, and while it may take me a day or two to learn a new schedule or program, I know that I will be doing it the way that you want it done. With my experience with SCI, people don't have a lot of control over their own lives, and I make it my first priority to give as much of it back to you as I can.

I have worked as a hands-on LPN staff nurse for many years in elder care. I enjoy it when I am able to make my patients happy and see their health status well maintained. I am a firm believer in the Lord God almighty and view taking care of others a natural part of my Christian walk.

As a Christian, I approach caregiving with compassion and kindness. I am happy to do devotions and pray with clients, but would never disrespect their religious preferences. I have been married to my husband for 9 years. We have a huge passion for loving others, connecting with the community, and giving second chances.
