Hello my name is Leslie. I have been a caregiver for 8 years, I started my journey with group home care with the mental disabled. Two years later I started elderly home care, making sure the elderly get a chance to stay in their own homes where they are comfortable is my pleasure. Taking care of the elderly is something I truly enjoy, letting them know they are not alone one day at a time. I can provide many different types of care, depending on the individuals needs. In 2016 I started my own LLC with the hopes of being able to provide more help to families by caring for their elderly family members. I have cared for indivduals in a wide age range and with many different funtion ability levels. No person is the same, I make a care plan to fit the indivduals needs. I like too keep the family as informed as I can about any changed I may see with thier loved one. I am elderly CPR / First aid and AED certified.
I became a caregiver in 2006 my first client was my grandmother when she needed full time care. That's when I knew that caring for people in need was my calling. I love making lasting relationships with my clients making them feel independent and also giving them a peace of mind. A personal achievement of mine is very simple I love when my clients feel loved by me and look forward to seeing me that drives them to want to accomplish daily activities for themselves. I am a very dependable and simple woman I love giving back to others and helping people comes natural to me. I love cooking, being a companion, organizing, uplifting and inspiring people and much more.
I am a seasoned healthcare worker of three years. My first two were spent as a CNA/HHA. My third as a CNA/QMA. I love what I do. I've been blessed to get the experience of multiple nursing facilities through Medical Staffing that gives me an edge amongst others. With my education expanding I have much more to learn and to help aid me in the real world.
Skills & Certifications: Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Home Care Aide (HCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
I became a care giver because I had several family members that needed help plus I cared for my late Husband at home for 3 years with Louies Body deminsia I love helping the older people with things they can not do by them selves At one time several years ago I was a CNA and loved it but didn't make enough money living on my own. I was really proud of myself by being able to take care of my Mother untill she passed and also was able to keep my late Husband at home up till the last year and he had no control of his muscles and had to put him in nursing home but I would be there every day from 7AM to 8PM after I got him in bed. I continued to give him his bed baths after they put him in the nursing home and was there to feed him every meal. I wanted something to do to keep busy plus help supplement my income. This is something I love doing and feel I would be very good at it. I would prefer something here close to home around the Delphi area if at all possible. I do not want to be a live-in but just caregiver to help with all needs as neccesary. I already have criminal back ground check my physical proof of insurance. Because I have applied for 2 other homecare jobs. Hoping to be hired by any homecare company
I am an extremely talkative individual, and with my experience as a CNA for 3 years I noticed that many of the individuals I work for just want someone to talk to. That works perfectly for me. I really like helping people because I am a patient and caring individual. Honestly the most satisfying feeling you get is when someone says thank you for the little things, such as toothpaste for the toothbrush or new tissue paper. I am currently writing a book, that would be my biggest achievement. Another I don't use social media.

I became a caregiver because I want to provide the help to others that need it most. I enjoy making other smiles and being that shoulder they can lean on!. I enjoy being able to make a difference in many peoples lives. Also families need breaks! Those are some reason why I became a caregiver.
I became a caregiver because I love seniors. I started working for them when I was a child. I would mow my neighbors lawn, or vacuum their home, and other odd jobs. I loved spending time with them talking or playing board games. It is a very rewarding & humbling job, helping people do things that they no longer can do for themselves. I am proud to be married to my best friend for the last 17 years and the rasising of our 4 adult children. I love spending time with our grandchildren!!
I have dedicated my career to social work and helping others. I am outgoing and use humor often. I am flexible and rarely get over excited about conflicts or people raising their voice. I have a calming voice tone and am an active listener. I am creative and like to do all sorts of crafts or coloring. I find it's a good stress relief. I help care for an elderly couple now which I do as volunteer work since they are like family. I find the addition of cleaning, organizing, and being a companion very rewarding. I enjoy seeing that I have made a difference and have been able to make someone smile. I am proud of the success stories that I have been lucky to be part of over the years. I am fortunate that some of the families who have had success maintain contact with from time to time in addition to sending pictured. This is just priceless.
I HAVE BEEN A CAREGIVER SINCE THE AGE OF 14. I CARED FOR MY GRANDMOTHER THAT HAD COME TO LIVE WITH MY FAMILY AFTER FALLING AND BREAKING HER HIP. I ENJOY MAKING THOSE WHO CAN NOT HELP THEMSELVES FEEL GOOD ABOUT LIVING WITH INJURIES OR ILLNESSES THAT HAS STOPPED THEM FROM DOING THINGS THAT THEY WERE USE TO DOING.THE ACHIEVEMENT I AM MOST PROUD OF IS CARING FOR A CLIENT FOR 14YEARS AND HIM TELLING ME BEFORE HE PASSED THAT DURING THE TIME I CARED FOR HIM THAT I WAS THE BEST CAREGIVER HE HAD AND HE LOVED ME FOR THAT.
I've became a care giver when I was 12 years old I took care of my grandmother when she was sick. What really made me became a certified nursing assistant is when I got old enough I took the class because I love to help people I realize that my help would go a long way!! I'm 22 years old I'm in college to became a registered nurse. And I do have a drivers license and own my own vehicle, I just love to help my residents like they are my own family
