Hello! I am graduating in December from Benedictine College and will be staying in Atchison until May, so I am looking around for a job during that time. I have been studying pre-physical therapy and have just been accepted into KU Med Physical Therapy program. I am CPR and First Aid certified and I have experience as a 24-hour caretaker. I love to cook, go on walks, and make DIY crafts. I am certified in Teaching Level One Yoga and I love helping with strength exercises and encouraging activity.

I have always been interested in jobs that deal with the care of a persons lifestyle and I never hesitate when it comes to lending a hand to someone who needs it. I am very flexible with schedules and dealing with different clients, and I can easily adapt to new environments and the surroundings. I have experience in both home care and in a skilled nursing facility. My favorite part of my job on top of helping others is getting to know the resident I am caring for. As a caregiver you can spend more time with your client getting to know them better, which makes caring for them more of like a hobby than a job.

Hi! My name is Paige Turner, I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant since 2011 and a Certified Medication Aide since 2017. I have worked in home health, but mainly nursing homes since then. My attention to detail making sure people are very comfortable is one of my best traits. I always make sure I give the kind of care to someone else's mother, father, or grandparents, as I would to my own. I love being able to make a difference in people's lives.

I believe that I am a good care giver because I am so easy to get along with and I just everyone. I decided to go in the direction of health care because I feel that it is almost second nature to me to help out where and when I can with being a mother of 4 kids. This asks what attracted me to the healthcare provision and to be honest in the very beginning it actually just kinda fell right in my lap. My husband because disabled and I was a stay at home mom with no schooling or work underneath me and it was time I had to help support my family. It was just the right timing that Kne-cap was running a program where they was helping people go through school to get them somewhere. I decided that was my opportunity and to grab it while it was available. I am proud of myself because I got both my CNA and HHA with the help and got a job and stuck with the first one and just loved my client. From there I decided to take it even farther and get my associates degree in Business Health while working full-time and being a mom of 4 small kids. I have no work history for this under my belt at this giving time.

I have always had a heart for caregiving and have strove to provide the best care to my family members. My grandfather moved into our home in 2018, and I have since helped care for him. I have my CNA certification to better equip myself to help with ADLs and am excited for what the future holds.

I was drawn to this field when I was younger, I would take care my father after his stroke and also my adopted grandparents on there death beds when I was in school still. I feel suited to this field because I am very caring, passionate, loving, understanding, kind, fast learner, and patient. I enjoy being a caregiver the most because when the client has made a acheviement and thwy are so pleased and happy, that's what motivates me more is seeing there happiness and them achieving, but also the stories they will tell of things that they have done is so pleasing to hear. When a client has made a achieved then I have met one my goals for that client. But if I can get a client to smile and have a great day then I have made my goal for that day.

I enjoy helping others. I'm a people person, I enjoy putting smiles on people's faces. I've done this kind of work for 12 years or more. I've come to learn people's wants and needs and understand their way of life. I work at a nursing home and it's sad a lot of these people rather be home and try to have a regular life than be in a facility with a bunch of strangers. It's very important for me to help take care of somebody in their home, because the person will get one on one care. He or she will not feel neglected but loved and cared for. We all need somebody to talk to and bond with.

I like to preserve the dignity of the client and allow them to live in their home and attend to their daily activities as much as possible. I enjoy listening to tales of their youth and believe one should encourage communication. I was able to take extended time off to provide care to my own parents and believe that living at home as long as possible helps with the healing process.

I became a caregiver because I grew up going to the nursing homes that my mother worked at and I loved it! It just seemed the natural choice for me. It give me a great sense of pride to be able to improve the quality of life for my clients. I am proud of my educational achievements as well as all of the knowledge that I've obtained through experience. I am confident in my abilities to provide the best care for my clients. I am married with 3 children. I have been working in healthcare for the majority of the last 20 years. I have extensive education & experience with caring for the elderly in their home. I have provided care for those that simply need a companion to those that require complicated medical or hospice care.
