I'm Dionna Gasaway, 23 years old I'm happy fun and energetic. I like to make people happy with my own smile across my face and I'm very caring. I do not let my outside life affect my work or mood while working. I'm a mother of 2 girls 6 and 1 years of age. I've worked with over 10 clients in one facility and they all loved me so much I still keep in contact with most. I'm very attracted to being a caregiver because I love to help and build bonds with people. I know some people do not have the family support so I just like to be there for them a little more Because it gets lonely for them. I enjoy building relationships and gaining trust the most because a lot of people have been through a lot and I like to become the friend in them. I chose to be a caregiver because I want to help others and make an impact. I think everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, love, and respect. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the opportunity to learn from others, while helping them simultaneously. I am currently enrolled in college at Hanover College, and I am excited to grow both academically and as a person.

Hi! I'm Sierra! I'm 23, a single mom of 3 under the age of 5. My mom and stepmom both are RN's, I've had a passion for the healthcare field since I was in middle school. After graduating I moved to South Carolina where I attended my CNA classes then later moved home and decided to look into home healthcare! I believe being someone's caregiver is being their person to lean on, I've had quite a few clients I've loved dearly. I truly believe they grow to you and become your family, I'm a Christian and I live my day to day life believing I'm based to help someone, to be the change the world needs. Not everyone has a great support system nor a huge family, I've also been referred to as a "bonus grandchild" once and that stuck with me. Being able to help someone who really needs the help is an achievement. As my kids grow older I plan to go back to school and further into the medical industry, but between facility or home based I personally prefer home based. I'm a huge home body myself and if I were older needing help, I'd hope to at least manage to have it the sake of my own home!

I am new to Carelinx but not new to caregiving. I helped care for my mother for almost five years until she passed away at 90. I always enjoyed doing the extras that made her feel better and brightened her days. I also helped to raise my two grandchildren since my son became a single father when they were very young.

I'm a very loving and kind hearted person and very patient. When I was 18 years old, my grandma got sick and none of my siblings would take care of her so I pretty much had to do everything for her and that's what Attracted me to being a caregiver plus I love the smile it put on someone's face when you make their day... something I am proud of is buying my very first home at the age of 20...

I have cared for my family and family friends for years. All, I want to do is help those who can't help themselves like they use to do. The way my mother cared for me when, I was young. She gave me the heart to care for others. The smiles on their faces when i can make them happy. Seeing my family walk again after their knee surgeries.

I am a good listener and will double check to make sure that what is asked of me to do is correct.My past and present clients are and have given me great recommendations for my caring attitude. As a small girl, I always wanted to help the elderly and anyone less fortunate than me.I was raised by 2 very loving, church going parents. The most important thing I love about being a caregiver is the gratification of knowing that I am appreciated in my responsibilities. A personal achievement that I am very proud of is doing the smallest things to get that gratitude.
