I have a bubbly personality. All of my clients absolutely adore me because I communicate with them in terms of what they can do. For example, if a senior client can't walk but is healthy mentally, I tell them that their job is to supervise. I keep it as light and fun as possible in a professional manner. When clients are having a bad day, it's my job to make it better! I love working with seniors and children. I stay in tune to their needs by paying attention and listening. A safe and clean environment is of utmost importance, and I strive to ensure my clients are receiving the best care possible. A \"tailored\" routine, reliable service, good communication, and a good working relationship with the client and family has been the key to my success in this business.
With 5 years of experience in the medical field, I'm confident in knowing this in my calling. I enjoy caring for others and making sure their daily needs are met everyday. What I enjoy most about working as a caregiver, is knowing i'm making a difference is someone else's life. It does me great honor to gain someone's trust and respect.
For the past decade, I have assisted aging, ill, and terminal friends and family in all aspects of their daily living to improve their quality of life in any reasonable manner possible. Although my certification expired, I have previously been certified in CPR and will re-certify ASAP. I am quite familiar with medication regimes and am experienced in IM injections, such as those required for a diabetic client, but I am not certified for Intravenous Injection. I have inserviced and provided/administered many forms of occupational and physical therapies for clients and am accomplished in therapeutic massage and pedicures. I provide reading services, am an accomplished Scrabble player, enjoy card games, such as Rummy (but no Poker or Bridge...), and play other board games and enjoy jigsaw puzzles, also. While my Bachelor of Arts is in English, with a minor in Speech Communications, much of my professional work has involved in crisis management and governmental processes so I am very familiar with "Red Tape" and dealing with the requirements of documentation for personal/ medical / and social programs. I am also an accomplished cook and homemaker and if I don't know the recipe or the process, I will locate or take direction for the best possible results in the kitchen, bath, and home. Finally, I am an intelligent, caring woman, raised on a farm in South Louisiana, educated and well-read, have a good and practical sense of humor and a well developed caring mentality, steeped in patience and compassion.
I am twenty one years old and i am an amazing caregiver because caring for others is in my nature. I am a very sweet, loving, understanding, and honest woman. I have seven brothers and sister, so with that being said I was always taking care of someone. How I see my mother take care of us is how I became so great in taking care of others. Being a caregiver to me is about being able to feel what they feel and be there for them no matter what. Be that shoulder that they can lean on, and pick them back up. I love just being able to do something for someone else, to see everyone happy and smiling that is what makes me happy. That is what makes my day better. Im proud of myself because I never give up, I keep on pushing and I always stay positive cant nobody bring me down.
I became a care giver in 08-2014 because I needed a job and it grew on me . It gives me a great pleasure to assist youth and elderly in their day to day needs and daily routes to get through their day.I am currently in school and work in E.B.R school system in the cafeteria serving the elementary single with no kids.
I became a caregiver because I like to help the elderly. I like interacting with them and trying to make them and their family happy. I am proud that in 6 yrs of being a CNA, I haven't had any of accidents, or breakdowns when someone is in my care. I am a very outgoing person and I love to work with people.
Hello My name is Wendy Chester. I have been taking care of people for 10+years. At one point I was a CNA working at a nursing home. I left that position because my husbands grandmother became ill and I decided to take care of her. Taking care of others is what I have always enjoyed doing. I have been taking care of people in their homes and get a great joy in my heart when I return and see the smile on their face. I am a nonsmoker and have cats and dogs. I have two grown daughters. My oldest just graduated nursing school and my youngest is in nursing school. As you can see we are a family that enjoys taking care of others.
What makes me a great caregiver is I don't do my job for the money of it. I do my job because of the passion and love I have to help people. I feel that caring for someone who can't always care for themselves is a blessing and also a chance at making a difference in their life as well. I choose to become a caregiver because I lost my grandparents at an early age both my grandmother's at the age of 12, one of my grandfather's at the age of 18 and the other one past before I was born so I kind of grown attach to others and think of them as one of my own grandparents. May sound odd but that's where I find comfort working with the elderly mostly. I also have a son that has a learning disability, as well as behavior problems so I can understand and also have the patients to deal with people with disabilities. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is putting a smile on all my clients faces and showing them the amount of love and compassion that I do. Letting them know that they are what matters to me the most. My personal achievement that I am proud of is becoming a Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and now I am currently working on becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
