I believe I'm a good caregiver because when I come to work I don't see a paycheck, I see people who need me. Who need my help. I became a caregiver to help myself become a better nurse. I wish to start nursing school this fall and the best nurses started at the bottom first. I love being a CNA, you develop a bond with your charges, this job works your mind, body and heart. My greatest achievement was having a patient's family look at me with relief and love when they saw how taken care of their mother was. It touched my heart deeply.

I am a very patient person. I know how to communicate very well with patients. I'll ask different questions to help understand what they would like or need help with. What attracted me to be a caregiver started when I would help with my grandfather and other relatives. I graduated high school then started CNA classes at rosepine retirement home. I love to work with anyone that makes me feel welcome. I am a very nurturing person with a very respectful attitude. I treat people the way I'd like to be treated or one of my relatives. A personal achievement I am proud of is graduating high school and starting work. It's not huge but definitely a goal I am very proud of. I would love to help anyone in need of a full time caregiver.
