What makes me a great caregiver is excellent communication skills, I'm compassionate, dependable and trustworthy. What attracts me to being a caregiver is I'm fulfiled when I see the patients back to their feet. I enjoy assisting patients with their daily activities and what they cannot do by themselves. The reason I become a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of the elderly, sick, and handicapped. I started home health aide in 2000 and I have excellent letters of recommendation from clients and my past work history. I am dependable, honest, work well under pressure, I enjoy doing activities with my clients, and playing educational games. I have been during home health aide for over thirteen years and currently working with my current client. I am certified in American Heart Association, Licensed in under the DC Board of Nursing in Home Health Aide and also have a certificate in activities assistant. I am a very compassionate caregiver. I obtained the passion of caring for others when I gained experienced taking care of my grandmother who had dementia. I assisted my mother in taking care of my grandmother up until her last day while being on hospice. I obtained my CNA liscense shortly after and began to share that compassion with others in honor of my grandmother.
