I have 30 years of experience in providing personal in-home care for disabled, cognitively impaired, chronically ill, and hospice patients. I assist patients with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. I monitor patients' vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. I am a thoughtful and considerate person who takes pride in providing the best care possible. I became a caregiver through the influence of my great aunt and grandmother as they were the neighborhood caregivers. I watched them as a child and knew I wanted to do the same thing. I began by taking care of my grandmother when she became home bound in her older age. For the past three years, I was the care taker for my mother after she suffered a stroke. The thing I enjoy the most is feeling a sense of joy and humility in assisting those in need in conducting their activities of daily living. They are so appreciative. I consider it a personal achievement when they recover and there is no further need of my services. That confirms that my work with them has improved their quality of life.

I have been a caregiver 40 years. Always had a good repore with elderly growing up. Being there to help a loved one played a major roll in my job. I've worked in Assisted living facilities, Nursing homes and absolutely love it. I've used machinery like hoyer lifts, and other things. I'd prefer to stay away from that and heavy lifting. I also had my own assisted living years ago in upstate Ny.. I'm very experienced and I make it my buisness to be punctual and dependable. I take pride in my skills and I do my very best at all times. As an individual, I am compassionate and empathic, and I have a great deal of respect for other people. In the beginning of my nursing career, I was a certified nursing assistant. I decided to pursue nursing care when my grandfather was on the verge of death. We searched for someone who would care for our family in a respectful and caring manner, but we were unable to find one. So, i decided to pursue nursing, which I love, and now I am working as a registered nurse. Currently, I am working in the medsurg department as well as the emergency room. With six years of nursing experience, I have worked with many different types of patients, such as those with G. Tubes , IV medications, wound care management, and those with storks. It is my belief that one of the most enjoyable things about being a care giver is the fact that I get to learn a lot from the elderly. There is always something new to learn from them when you pay close attention and listen to what they have to say.

I enjoy getting to know people and also taking care of them. When I was a little girl my mom was a single mother so my grandparents always took care of me so my mom was able to work. I always said I would take care of my grandmother when the time came, unfortunately my grandmother passed away due to Parkinson's however I continued being a caregiver and treat every client I have as one of my grandparents.
