I like to make my patients laugh, regardless of what the task is, whether I am helping them clean up an accident, or helping them get dressed, it can be a fun experience for both of us. I have received personal letters saying thank you for being so kind and patiently caring, from families and patients themselves. I am, also skilled at what I do. I do things thoroughly. I am stronger than I look, I can easily transfer people larger and taller than me. I know when to lower someone to the ground during transfers to prevent them from falling and hurting themselves. I know how to determine normal vital signs, and blood sugar levels. I have worked in nursing facilities with a CNA license, it is currently expired, and I will hopefully be re-taking the exams soon. I thoroughly enjoy card games, music, and puzzles. I am getting pretty good at sewing, I made the curtains in my home, and a few other things. I am pretty content do to most things. I do have a cat allergy though.
I'm a great caregiver, because of my compassion for people, especially senior care, developmentally disabled, those who can't speak for themselves, both verbally or non-verbally, being a voice. I've always been attracted to caregiving from a young child. Since caring for both parents, and family members. I enjoy being a part of helping others have a quality of life, through love, care and spiritual enlightenment that they otherwise may not have access to. It is a blessing to help others have an extended quality of life, that may not have otherwise been realized.
Hello, My name is Benta Russell. I began my personal-care career with Synod Residential Service, in August 2013. I have always done personal-care work since I was a young girl. Growing up in Kenya, it was my responsibility to care for my family's elderly. Every day I would take care of my grandparents by fetching them water from the river, cooking their meals. I also did their laundry, cleaned their dishes, and house. One of the many things I have learned throughout the years is that it is very important to be patient and understanding when providing aid to an individual. All the people I have helped have had different strengths and weaknesses, and as the personal-aide, it was my responsibility to understand this in order to adapt to the individual's needs. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is developing a relationship with the client. As the relationship grows it becomes more than a job and is like finding a new friend. This is important to me because it makes the work that much more enjoyable for both the client and myself. My greatest achievement so far was getting my degree from Washtenaw Community College. There were many days and nights when I wanted to throw my textbooks in the garbage and walk away from school, but I didn't do that. I stuck it through to the end and am very proud to have earned my degree.

What makes me a great caregiver is how I treat people with the respect and love they deserve. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my mom, i watched other people take care of her so I wanted to give the same love back to others who are in need. What I mostly enjoy about being a caregiver is helping people. A personal achievement I am proud of is how many people I've helped in my lifetime with my caregiving career:)

I am enthusiastic Home Health Aide that enjoys helping others. The reason why I decided to become an Aide because I took care of my sick mother and the hospice company thought that I did such a good job I should think about becoming an Aide. I enjoy the conversations the most and knowing that I may have helped someone at the hardest time of their lives. I am a proud parent of one and she makes me feel the proudest.
I am a energetic, reliable, compassionate, respectful person and I believe that these traits help me to be a wonderful caregiver. I am very passionate about what I do and love the satisfaction I get from servicing people. I was attracted to this job because it's very similar to what I wanted to go to school for; which was nursing. I later changed my major to speech language pathology and I love it! I enjoy keeping my clients company, assisting them in anything they need assistance with. One of the personal achievements is gaining knowledge about this field, since 2013 I have been able to learn so much and work with different companies as well.

I became a Career Foster Parent house 65 girls from 2002 until 2016. I still have communication with many of the girls. To work with teenage girls was placed in my heart and I could not do it except God would lead guide and direct. as a mission statement I prayed that God would guide me with each child It was my responsibility that I would guide in the most positive way and the rewards are when thy come back and say thank you. that reaches the heart. Upon my recent move to Michigan I decided to look for work there are many choices but, While in St. Louis I began to reach out in my neighborhood to seniors I was the block captain. Once I went to Caring Partners and had a few assignments I fell in love with working with Seniors. In 1994 I took care of my grandfather which I enjoyed. My goal is to take care of Seniors I wake up each day thankful and want to serve the best that I can. Seniors have pride and dignity and should not be treated with the upmost respect. I love my mother and thank God for her daily. Enjoy everyday living tomorrow is not promised .
