I started my career of caregiving In 1983 where I provided in home care for an elderly lady for 18 months. In 1984 I worked for Minnesota DHS with developmentally disabled persons. In 1989 I began working for the Minnesota DOC until I retired in 2020. I love to help people achieve their goals and I really enjoy seeing people happy. I am currently teaching myself some wood working, furniture refinishing and some art.

I'm kind, have empathy and patience. I started out by taking care of my mother. I enjoy adding joy to someone's day. I took care of a couple in their home and was able to fulfill their wishes of staying in their home together until they passed.

I consider myself to be a neutering human being, I have great care giver qualities that allow me to connect with my patients on a deeper level. This gives them something to look forward to doing daily activities that were once boring into something enjoyable with me. When i was still in high school, I was really intrigued by phycology. I did allot of research on the human brain and how the human mind works and the human differences within perspectives from an healthy mind to an and mentally Ill mind. This allowed me to understand everyone around me and brought allot of peace within me knowing why humans acted the way they did. I then knew I wanted to be a caregiver with everyone around me who had any type of mental illness. I enjoy being the light of a human being who doesn't see any light due to the circumstances in which they live in. A personal achievement I am proud of, is getting through allot of stages in my life in which I felt lost and down. and guiding myself through these difficulties in life. I am also proud of the woman I am becoming and I am proud to say I know what I want out of this life and I am proud to say I find a purpose in everything my life journey brings me.

I've been a CNA for 4.5 years and a caregiver for about 2 years. I did care for an elderly lady prior to being certified as a nursing assistant. I've done all activities such as bathing, eating, mobility, dressing, making beds, taking vital signs, etc

I love to help the people that really need help at all time and I'm a brilliant person that always like to help and communicate with people also I like people that treat themselves with respect and kindness.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy working with the elderly. I enjoy making them feel special. Making them laugh. Listen to their stories about their youth and family. I started as a live in five days a week for a couple, both in wheelchairs. After that I've taken care of three other people, two of whom passed away. I can give you references from those families. Also I have references from many friends that I've known for over twenty years. I've been a self employed live in for almost three years. After some time you get to feel like family. I have been a aide for 18yr. I have worked with many different clients. Parkinson's, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Mental Illness, Etc. I am one of the hardest workers you will meet. I have great work ethic. I go above and beyond the call of duty. If you need something extra done I will do it. I'm compassionate, friendly and caring and always honest.

I am compassionate and patient, and a care-oriented person, as I have a high level of empathy and training as a Psychologist from Venezuela, I was trained to care for the elderly. I love to support other people to feel better and they have a more functional life.
