Hello. (I am just starting out with Carelinx )I have been a caregiver pretty much my whole life. My first child was born with a host of health issues as well as ASD and extreme ADHD. Professionally I've been doing it for about 5 years. I started taking care of my father as he aged and provided his hospice care. Then I did it professionally after his death for a friend who hired me because I know how to navigate the va health system. I then started it professionally after relocating to MO. I enjoy taking care of people and am incredibly honest, compassionate, and dedicated to my clients. I do in fact believe that the first part of being a in home health care giver is to actually care. I've included a small list from my resume of skills I have utilized as a PCA. My empathy and understanding of all sides helps me to connect with my clients. Assisting patients with hair care, dental care, and shaving Clean patient houses to their specifications. Assisting patients with bathing/spong bathing patients Caring for clients with impaired memory and dementia. Assisting with bathroom needs. Dressing patients Feeding patients Housecleaning Laundering clothing Housekeeping/Organizing Running errands Using a hoyer lift to transfer patients Basic wound care Reminding patients to take their medications Cooking for patients Assisting in yard clean up and gardening needs when asked.

My number one personality trait that makes me a great caregiver is that I am a believer in Jesus as my messiah. I have devoted my life to him and his loving and caring ways since I was 8 yrs old. I have been a care giver all my life. It started with a blind lady down the street when I was ten. I helped take care of three grandparents with end of life care. I am also a mother of six children. I love serving people and making them happy. I also believe the end of life for everyone should be honored with love and exceptional care. I am proud to be a loving mother and I Home schooled. I achieved my Massage therapy License and I have multiply counseling and coaching certifications. I even have a children's book series I'm writing.

Hi! My name is Judith but you can call me Judy if you like. I have been a full-time caregiver since 2012, and I am so fortunate that I am paid to do what I love! The thought rose up in me when my mother began to show signs of Dementia. We developed a bond that was very close and comforting for both of us. Since then every client is family and every challenge is so worth it! I think I was born to be a caregiver. I think that trust is the most important aspect of my profession. I have learned to be rigorous about making sure things are always where you put them. I don't look in cupboards or drawers unless I have permission to do so. If a client has faith in me they will exercise and eat and walk more readily. I am certified CMA (I am able to pass medications legally) and up to date on my CPR and First Aid Certifications. I think I am most proud (and grateful) for my ability to make clients feel protected and valued.

Hello I'm a mother of 2 teenage boys. I have lived in a few different states, while my husband of 16 years was active duty. I have been in homehealth care since I was in my early 20's. I enjoy assisting others and helping them with their independence.

Retired from northern Ilinois 9 years ago. Worked 3 years at Cox Branson and then retired from full time employment there with EVS. Looking for part time now with a rewarding position. Was a Correctional Officer in Illinois for over 20 years. Worked with inmates with a variety of physical and mental issues.

I am also very passionate about seeing people cared for and taken care of. I have worked places that I didn't see proper care and had to leave because of it. I'm a very easy going, caring aid. My cousin who was an LPN was a ADON of a nursing facility and talked me into working in the nursing home. have 14 years of specialized experience in Dementia care. My passion is to assist seniors with all daily activities so that they may stay in their own home. I was with my last senior for over two years, We did everything from attending shows in Branson to traveling to visit his children close to home or out of state. I also feel it is important to communicate with family member's, doctors and if pertinent hospice on a regular basis, I am an out going caregiver and would be honored to help take care of your loved one.
