What attracted me most about being a caregiver was seeing other family members, who worked as caregivers, explain how impactful and meaningful it was. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping those in need. I treat all of my patients exactly how I would want to be treated if I was in the same position. Being a mother, I have learned to be patient, understanding, and responsible. Which I also transfer into my job as a caregiver. A personal achievement I'm proud of is, being close to completing my Associates degree in Criminal Justice. I hope to one day work with children in the Juvenile System.

My expertise that makes me a good caregiver is that I have patience. Being patient means that I understand that there may be changes in plans and things may not go as quickly as planned and there may be a little hesitation at times on the part of the person receiving care. Also I am compassionate when someone is going through a tough time. I am dependable. I show up to provide the care that the person needs and is counting on. I am very trustworthy, I am someone who is and will not reach that trust by taking advantage of the person that I am caring for.
