Hello my name is Dejah. I am a mother of 4 children. With that being patient understanding is my natural personality. I would consider myself very detail oriented but very open. I take care of my grandmother with my mother and also hold a CNA license and a Medication aide license. I have been in the healthcare field for around 10yrs so I believe I have earned an over experience badge throughout my career. I absolutely love serving my elders and friends who are disabled. I was a cna in a nursing home at 20 yrs old. I enjoy teaching clients and family. I am very proud of my nursing with the army reserve.

I have been a CNA for 20+ years and a Med. Aide for 15+ years. I have experience in long term care, home care and assisted living settings. I am a caring and compassionate individual. I treat those that I care for as I would, if I was caring for my parent's or grandparent's.

I love a home environment and appreciate getting to know one client very well, to provide the best care possible. I've worked in the health field most of my life, and providing care in someone's home is my first choice of any work. I enjoy building a comfortable and reliable routine, this goes a long way in developing peace of mind for the person receiving care and their families. Very important for my own family was that they would be able to remain home for both recovery and end of life care, and that I was able to provide that care.

I enjoy the elderly population and having the opportunity to assist them to be able to stay in their own homes with friends and family available to be around them. It is my passion to communicate with the elderly population and glean wisdom and their understanding of life. I respect who they are and where they have been. It is rewarding to me to spend time with individuals and become a companion and friend. About 15 years ago I was able to purchase a large home for my family with a mother-in-law apartment. We all lived there together until she decided to move to a senior living facility. I believe it was the right thing to do and would do it again but you can not also predicted what the other person really wants. I am a caring person who enjoys being around people. I love adventure and new situations. I have learned a lot about myself in the last 3 years as I have enjoyed working as a medication aide and then as the activity director in an assisted living facility.I have extensive training in Alzheimer/dementia care and I have completed training in a program called Powerful Tools for Caregivers. I have in the past worked with the elderly in their home and am looking forward to doing it again.

I'm a great caregiver because I'm patient and I know that every person is important and has different necessities . I enjoy going outside and being a good companion inside of the house. I am a good cook. I talk some languages and I'm happy to achieve each of those languages on high school. I'm happy to be a caregiver because I used to take care of my grandfather with my dad help and he has Alzheimer and dementia and I was happy to help.
