I'm an nursing assistant with the combination of 19 , plus years of training and experience. My experiences include but are not limited to childcare , caring for the elderly , those suffering from paralysis , visually / hearing impairment , mentally illness , digestive disorders , arthritis, obsessive compulsive disorders, amputees, wound care ( Levels 1 - 3 ) , dementia , companionship, working with those with behavioral issues, alzheimer's , eating disorders , handicapped, incontinent assistance / care, catheter care ( male & female ), direct care and live ins ( temporary and long term ),direct care , personal care / assistance , transferring, G tube feedings , mobility assistance , tracheotomy care , ostomy care, nutritious meal planning & preparation , respiratory care , managing and maintaining diabetes ( types 1 and 2 ) ,transporting / escorting , administering injections and medications, and range of motion , just to mention a few.

I am very social. I relate very well to clients. I am confidential. Very independent, very polite, educated. I am experienced in using a hover lift, bathing clients, feeding client, handling clients ' personal matters (if necessary). Although I taught special education and have worked several administrative positions, the healthcare field has always been my first love. Had I not received a four year academic scholarship to ASU I would have pursued a career in School of Nursing at Tuskegee University. But I am proud to say that my daughter did so and for the past nine years she has been an RN at the Montgomery Veterans hospital.
