I have always wanted to help people with special needs; perhaps because I had a sibling who was born with severe disabilities, so I know first hand the difficulties and challenges faced by these individuals and their families. There was very little help available when I was a child, so we relied mainly on our family for the help and support we needed. Back then, there were no respite services or in-home caregiver services. You took your chances on finding a trustworthy stranger (if you could afford one). Now, it is very gratifying to me to be able to help other people who are dealing with illness or disability in any way I can. I like to make jewelry and craft items, and I like to share those hobbies with my clients, if they're interested. Many of them seem to enjoy these activities and find them gratifying. I also love to read, and some clients enjoy being read to, which I also enjoy. I've been told I'm a good listener and a pretty good companion, as I can adapt to whatever my client is capable of and willing to do. I am experienced, caring, and am a retired social worker.

I have become a caregiver do to my family. I have taken care of multiple kinds of people from people with disabilities like Parkinson, CP, dementia, alzheimers, and more as well as thoughs without. The company i have worked for had at least 4 clients on shift. With that in mind I have taken care for 14 different people over my life and some for many years. I try to make sure the client is well taken care of with personal touches so that it not just a new staff but someone that will help raise up the person I take care of. If I'm happy about anything most its that I am liked among all the client that I have ever taken care of.

I am a licensed CNA and currently working as a mentor to people with developmental and physical disabilities. When I was 12 years old my grandma was diagnosed with ALS and I helped care for her until she passed, that experience led me on to become a CNA and commit to helping those in need with every day living. I'm very open-minded and compassionate.

My first experience as a caregiver was when I was 15 years old. My grandfather was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Both my parents were school teachers so I was responsible for his care every day after school till they got home. My heart is in taking care of others and helping keep them home in there comfort zone as long as possible. I am 38, I obtained my CNA in 2000 and have worked with different companies ever since. I enjoy all people with different illnesses I have extensive training with accute, long term, rehabilitation, psych holds, pediatric and also worked for two years in a lock down alshiemers ward. The job is hard and sometimes mentally exhausting, but I couldn't imagine doing anything different.

I became a Care Giver when I moved to Texas to take care of my elderly Parents. I also had a job taking care of mentally and physically challenged Adults, I was great at it .I was so proud to be a Care Giver and it filled my Heart every day.I could bring joy, laughter and compassion to those in need. I have 13 years experience as a Caregiver, 4 years as a DSP , and one years working in a Assisted living Facility : Transfers, personal care, cooking and cleaning, med reminders, transportation. I have had my Covid Vaccine. CPR Certified, First Aid Certified

1. I wanted to be a nurse since I was a young girl. Never had the chance to be an RN due to many reasons. 8 years ago I have decide to go to school again and get my CNA linsence. Knowing that I can help an elderly people make their everyday life possible for them is very rewarding. I am very compassionate about others it doesn't matter if it's younger or older than I am. I think helping others is such a blessing that you can share to others. 2. What I like most about it is that at end of the day I know I did something good to help someone make their life more easier for them. 3. When my residents acknowledged my hard work and nominate me as the employee of the month. And for that I am proud of myself and I thank my parents for teaching me how to be compassionate to others. 4. My name is Ailyn Atwell. I am from the Philippines and I have a 14 year old son that lives with me. I've been doing a live-in care since 2008. I have no criminal history, not smoking and not drinking. A very good moral character, love her family and a very compassionate human being.

I have a desire to help other people. I try to be kind and compassionate and understanding. I find that when I am helping other people it makes me feel good and love the person I am. I would say that my greatest accomplishment in this field is that I have had 2 jobs that lasted for 10 years each in this field. That is a huge accomplishment to me because in this field and great caregiver usually lasts about 3 months. I stayed with the families from my 1st day on the job until their parents last days on earth.
