I am a health care aid with 12 year experience as a caregiver. I have worked with dementia patients as well as patients with other mental and physical disabilities. Very caring and compassionate with others. I am understanding of patient's needs and willing to do whatever it takes to make them as comfortable as possible. I myself had the experience of difficult situations and my goal is to satisfy patient's needs. I am currently enrolled in school to get into the nursing field. I became a CNA/HHA at age 17.I have always wanted to work in the medical field to help others.I have worked in several facilities as a caregiver working my way to become a med.tech,supervisor and cottage manager.I have worked for a number of families as well.Most recently, i cared for my mother for a period of 5 years+, untill her death at age 95 on 11/11/15. I am looking forward to going back to work to care for and love someone who needs assistance.

I've been a caregiver for 35 yrs. I started in this field when I was just 17. I love what I do. I come from a medical family and decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a doctor or nurse. I specialize in geriatric dementia and Alzheimers care. Every client needs to know they're truly cared for on every level with love, patience, and kindness. I enjoy learning from them ... they often have amazing histories, stories and lessons to share.I'm often with my clients for the duration of their lives.

I can speak both English and Chinese. I am a senior caregiver with CPR and live scan. I have the California Home Care Aid Registry. I have TB test and the flu shot in October. I had full vaccinated for COVID-19. I am super patient and caring . I think I have the gift of taking care of others. I have compassion on my work, I can put smiles on my clients' face.I am a good listener. I treat my clients as my own families with a loving heart.I feel proud of my job ,because I bring peace and love to them. I experienced; Alzheimer's,dementia,MSA and hospice care. I also experienced G-tube,suction machine, hoyer lift and catheter. I gave my clients not only life assistance but also loving.And I got love from them,too. So I enjoy this job--being a senior caregiver.And I am proud of it.

What drove me to be a caregiver is when i realized the need to serve and help others. This passion came when I lived with my grandmother who i loved dearly and as she aged i realized she needed care day by day. I automatically became a caregiver to her, a job I have come to love and perfect professionally. My reliability, patience, privacy, respect and hard work are some of my personality traits that drives me to ensure I cultivate a closer bond and be a great caregiver. seeing the satisfaction that is derived from my caregiving, gives me joy and motivates me to do my best. Psychologically and emotionally I get a blissful feeling when I know someone else has benefited from a helpful hand of care and love.

I think my dependability helps me be a great caregiver. I was attracted to caregiving as a young child when my little sister came home from the NICU with a caregiver to assist my mother with her care. Patient interaction is something that I enjoy the most. My proudest achievement thus far aside from my children would be becoming a Nurse.
