One of my most meaningful experiences involved a client placed on hospice care and given just three days to live. After one month under my care, he graduated from hospice and went on to live for an additional two years, reaching the age of 100. I really enjoy being a caregiver a job that your able to make a difference in a clients everyday living. a relationship you just cant explain with your client or patient depends on level of care. I became a can in 1991 lookin for a different career path then . worked in nursing rehabilitation home for 3 years learned so much . I did work in for agencies for in home visits as well for the next 7 years. I continued my education in Georgia to become a cma certified medical assistant. I have recently taken a can course at Cumberland health center . recertified can cpr/ first aid .

I became a caregiver to help people feel more independent while in there own home .I love being a caregiver because the look on clients face when you make them feel independent is priceless. I am proud that everyone I come across loves the great work I do I am a parent to a son with autism so I know patience and helping makes a difference the medical field has always been my calling.
