I have been doing in home care over 30 years.I love helping people and being there for them.Im currently in school studying for my Masters in medical assistant, to bridge over to registered nurse.My goal after school is work as a nurse in end of life hospice.

I am very patient and willing to help, learn to make sure the client have good care. Being able to help the client, balance that to daily living activities and to give them a reason to want to continue to push, and forward to do better and to get better . being able to give the client a reason to wanna live.

I genuinely care about others, no matter the age. Outside of my wishes of being a medical assistant, I wanted to be a caregiver because I would have one-on-one time with the person. This desire of mine grew as I started working for Clark Lindsey. As a waitress, I get to know the residents to an extent. The reason I joined Synergy (home health care), was to be a companion to residents that may not have that or any type of care as they used to. Knowing that they don't get to see their loved ones as much as they want to, I feel even closer to them because I feel like I can be that person for them-someone who is close to them, cares for them, provides safety, and to really listen and have interest in them. For the client that I currently have as well as others in the past, I learn a lot of life experiences from them and I love to see their eyes light up when they tell me parts of their past as if they are reliving it again and again. Lastly, my personal achievements that I'm proud of happens at Clark Lindsey and with a client I used to have. At Clark Lindsey, when residents would come up to me (when I'm working, or just visiting) telling me that they always enjoy seeing me, always makes my day. Also, recently with a client, I aided in the recovery of one walking again. Even though, I don't see him anymore, I'm happy that he is with his wife and truly happy.

I love helping others who need a little or a lot of assistance. I enjoy the happiness I see in the person's face when someone is willing to do something for them. I have a huge heart and compassionate one. I wanted to help people as much as I could after taking care of my mother after she had 2 strokes. I would do this out of pure love for her and would do the same for anyone else who needed it. I would hope that if I was to someday need any assistance , someone with a loving heart and compassion would do the same for me.

I have over 20 years of experience in the caregiving field, both live in and live out situations. I am highly skilled in grooming toileting bathing dressing and transferring of elderly. I am well versed in assisting clients with activities of daily living and I have demonstrated ability to record and report changes in residents eating habits to supervisor or family. I have a valid drivers license ,reliable transportation and a clean driving record. If you are in need of a compassionate caregiver I would be honored to assist.

I'm very caring, loving and will go above and beyond to take care of your loved one. I've worked as an Administrator in Training Social Service Director, Dietary Manager all in long-term care. I have also been a business office manager in Psychiatry and was a Resident Assistant at an assistant living. Ever since I was young, I've always enjoy taking care of my grandparents weather I was painting toenails, shaving legs or giving a haircut or helping to house chores that were difficult for them. It always put a smile on my face. Not only do I enjoy helping others, but seeing the satisfaction of relief on their face on things that maybe difficult for them to complete or families with smiles that have stress relieved off of them is satisfying to me. I love what I do and I wouldn't do it any other way. With my experience, I have learned to be patient with others, listening to everyone, and think of all options or approaches before acting.

Iam one person that does this job not only for money but its a blessing that iam able to do what God blessed me in doing and I enjoy what I do and thank all families that trust me with there loved ones.

The personality traits that help me to be a great caregiver are, I'd like to say I have a huge heart. I love everyone and everything I come across. I feel like that is the main trait someone needs to be able to be a great caregiver. The reason I got attracted to caregiving was due to the amount of love I had to offer, I love being able to make a difference in, if not one, but many peoples lives! Gives me a sense of purpose. I enjoy a lot of things about being a caregiver, the main thing is that everyday you're learning something new or doing something different. You get to grow and learn the people you care for and begin to form a bond like no other with each other ! A personal achievement of mine that I am proud of, is the fact that I graduated high school, moved out of my moms house, and am still living with no children at the age of 20! Not very much related to the job part of this but if that doesn't show you I have determination I don't know what will!
