I have always felt a calling and a passion for caregiving. I have over 15 years of experience providing compassionate care in Skilled and private homecare settings. I am a single mother and student at UMGC. Currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Gerontology and Aging Services and a minor in Psychology, and proudly graduating in December of 2024! From there, I plan to work towards a master's degree in Occupational Therapy. I'm a patient and compassionate person, I love to be around elderly. They are very smart and full of wisdom. I feel like I'm the lucky one to be with them and help them through this step of life. Even when they rejected me, I never took it personal and tried to understand them. I have been taking care of my mother in law for 6 years and I'm happy and proud to say that caregiving is a big personal accomplishment, and I'm proud of my resourcefulness, flexibility and determination.

I am a very empathetic, compassionate and patient person. I enjoy working with the disabled, sick, elderly, children and anyone that can use the right nourishment and care. I love treating others well as a Caregiver because I always have it in mind that with life one should expect a lot of changes, challenges and experiences and these may be getting sick, accidents or growing old because it is the order of the day. So, I always imagine myself into that person's situation Iam caring for. The question that pops up in my head is what if that's me, my parents or my lovely daughter. I've always been the compassionate person caring for other even when I was teenager. Come up watching my mother and grandmother as nurses and childcare provider it became natural to me. So when started high school I enroll in Nurseing program pass with excellent grades during I class hours we went to nursing home for hand on experience I then new this was what I liked doing. During summer break of school I work at local nursing home facility also had to attend monthly educational inservices were I learn the RESIDENTS RIGHTS,HIPPA, BIOHAZARD POLICY and INFECTION CONTROL .
