I am a 24 year male , I was born and raised in Elizabeth City, NC. I graduated from Pasquotank County High School in the year of 2017 , I have a beautiful daughter named Malaysia. I have worked several jobs in my life but this kind of job is one of my favorites not because of the money, it's deeper than that I love the fact I can help people. I was raised by my grandmother and she raised me well I always respect my elders hands down , and now the chance to help is even a better blessing.

My "first career" consisted in working for the government for 18 years as a contacting officer, which I retired from in 2005. This did not fulfill my needs and passion to be in the healthcare community, which I always secretly longed to do. I pursued a education as a certified nursing assistant and have been in the healthcare field for 7 yrs. I especially love the diversity of taking care of all my patients. I am a great listener and have the passion and determination to treat everyone equally. I have a lot of patience and empathy and try to make all my patients as comfortable as possible. I will treat your loved ones as I would treat my own family. There is no other field of work that makes me feel as whole of a person as healthcare. I especially love to take care of the elderly, as they have so many interesting stories to tell of their lives. I started care taking back in 2009 when my grandmother became bed bound. I had assisted with her daily living routines such as bathing, cooking,dressing, administer medication and feeding. Occasionally i would have to clean and dress any wounds or lesions. After taking care or my grandmother for 2 years I then got more involved with care taking by caring for a disable veteran for a year whom was paralyzed. I had performed the same duties as well. My passion for helping those who cannot do for themselves started with my grandmother and it is something that comes naturally to me.

Im a positive outgoing person and full of energy maybe to much. That's one of the reasons why I feel I can make a difference in others lives. I have enough positivity and energy to share with everyone. While being in highschool I took a nursing class which allowed me to volunteer at the nursing home near my school which was amazing to me ! Everyone said I loved it way more than I should but they don't get to see the most amazing things that come from helping others! I also went to a elementary school that was down the road from my school which allowed me to volunteer with special education and pre development with pre schoolers. That also was so amazing im so lucky I had the chance to do that and or be allowed. So with all that I decided to go to Tide Water Community college in Virginia Beach and get my CNA. Which was the best choice I ever made. I will be finished by October 31 or November 10 we're waiting for an evaluator to pick up our testing date. While taking this class I have been doing clinicals at a nursing home near the school. I wasn't there long and after two days I had already fallen in love with all the residents. I love helping people and Its something that comes naturally to me. I love how they become family and to me it's helping me learn how to appreciate the little things in life.
