I can't express enough how it makes me feel to go home knowing I made them smile, or laugh for that day. I think exercise is very important if they are capable, and Companionship, Honesty, and just having a heart that cares for people. I go above and beyond for my elders, and I will treat them as they were my very own.

I worked with the Visiting Angels Caregiver & Home health group out of Knoxville, Tn for about 2 years as a caregiver. I also helped to care for my mother, father, a sister, a brother, an aunt, an uncle, my husband, and my son. I am retired, but I still enjoy working part time as a caregiver. I was so touched by the Hospice staff as they ministered not only to my husband but to me and the rest of my family! So, after my husband passed I became a CNA and have enjoyed doing this work! Meeting not only the physical needs but also the emotional and spiritual needs of the client and their loved ones. I have worked with clients with many and various physical needs. Once I have worked with a client we usually stay in touch. I am a Christian, I love my children and grandchildren (which are coming quickly now), I love animals and I love to stay active....
