I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. To go down the list I am a CNA, med aide, aba clinician, companion, direct support professional and professional pizza lover. I have worked in facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, group homes(youth and adults) , jails, asylums etc. You name it I've done it. My short term goal is to find a stable family or families I can work with ..out of everywhere I worked I truly enjoy working in home care because I feel like I'm actually useful and can bond and create a great professional relationship with he client and family. The thing I enjoy the most is making my clients happy and helping them with their ADL's. I'm an animal lover so if you have any ill love them right away and treat them as if they are my own pets. What makes me a great caregiver ?? I started out as doing this job because I wanted to learn how to take care of my aunt , I ended up enjoying helping people so it became a job I wanted to do . I plan to become a RN and this was just a foot in the door but I'm glad I did it .
