I'm an easy going type of person. I have Been a Caregiver for 16+ years total,ranging from Facility Shift Lead & In home CNA the past 3 years, to being a private Nanny ,group home staff member and Private Aide/housekeeper. Being a caregiver comes naturally to me and I enjoy it simply because I love helping others wherever I can. I'm proud that I have a range of skills which are useful for caregiving.I'm also proud to be a Certified Nursing Assistant whom is able to help others for a living.

When I was 13 years old my grandparents were bed bound. I went to go visit them, got to meet with their in home caregiver. Seeing the difference she was making in their lives everyday just by showing up and interacting with them made them the happiest ever. I realized that i wanted to be that person. I want to be the person they look forward to seeing everyday when they don't have anything to look forward to. I want to be the person that helps them, not because it's my job but because getting to improve their moods and just help out in any way i can is one of the most rewarding things i can do to help other people. I believe that i would be best for this job because i have the drive to help others and make their days better, and i love getting to spend time with residents and just learn about them, hear about their stories and experiences they have had, and just spend time with them and try to make their day the greatest they can be. I think the personal achievement i am most proud of is when i first started working at puget sound, i didn't really know any of the residents yet and i was job shadowing. I walked into a room to check on them and one of the residents looked at me and looked very sad. I walked over to her and gave her a hug and told her i was glad to see her and asked how her day was. She looked at me and said it wasn't very good but it was getting better now, and i asked her why. She said "well no one has talked to me today and you were the first person to go out of your way just to talk to me and see how i was, not because you have to but because you wanted to. you're gonna be amazing at this job" and that hit me right in my heart and made me realize that how you act and the way you present yourself completely determines the interaction you have with these residents, and me going in there not even knowing how to do my job and just making her day that much better without even trying was my biggest accomplishment working with residents.

I am very good with elderly and kids and im very easy to get along with and im very helpful and honest and trustworthy and a hard worker and always get my job done the way u ask for it to be done and always done right and looks good and the way u asked for it to be done and im a very good cook and housekeeper and cleaner and im always in a good mood and happy and always have a smile on my face and always trys to have fun and make the best of every situation and always trys to make people laugh and im a very good listener and always follows rules. I became a caregiver because i love helping people and love helping the elderly and listening to there life storys and love being the one to help them with whatever they need and being the one to make them laugh and have fun and just being the positive person in there life.

I am incredibly flexible, patient with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. My goal in everything I do is to make life more enjoyable for the people around me. Care giving was very rewarding for me because of my attitude to serve others. I am very personable and caring and know that I make a difference just by being me.

I love the elderly and helping people. I love assisting people and helping them do the things they can no longer do themselves. I have been a CNA for 20 years and delegates and passed meds for 16 years. Everything I've done is in nursing, and I have many credentials that I've worked hard for. I'm a very honest and loyal person with a huge heart.

I have ten years experience in long term setting and in assist living. I enjoy working with elderly and helping them with daily activities. I enjoy helping those that need that little extra, an to get a smile from them is a reward on it own.

Hello what's drew to caregiving was the fact that my parents did it and I would go along and just listening to their stories and being able to connect with them. I continue doing it throughout my teenage years and for most of my adult life. I was able to take care of my grandma and I have had experience with all aspects that come with the aging and developmental disabilities ADHD and autism. One of my favorite things about it is just being able to listen to the stories about their childhood or when they pull the photo album out and sit there and tell you and you get that one-on-one connection. What makes me a great fit for caregiving as the fact I can connect with people very easily and I'm very positive and I can always see the good side and things and I truly care about people and their well-being. And I have two amazing sons so there isn't anything that life hasn't thrown at me that I haven't been able to overcome or deal with and I am very good at thinking outside the box.
