I work with children, adolescents and adults. Each patient remembers me when I walk into their unit, they always make my day so much better. I recieved custody of my step fathers son who was non-verbal autistic back in 2015, I taught him to feed himself, dress himself and even shower! We began working on words and had accomplished quite a few when the state took him back in 2016. It was short lived but it peaked my interest in helping others. Caregiving to me is so full of benefits for not only the patient but myself, I have realized not only can I teach but I can also learn from my patients. I have a very active life outside of work and I want to help others be active and healthy as well!
