Dignity and respect are core values in my work. I help clients adjust to their situation, discover their resilience and creativity, find meaningful ways to enjoy themselves. We will not be sitting and watching television all day! I enjoy reminiscing, discussing current events, anything to do with the arts. It is an honor to provide care and companionship to our elders!
(1) what do you like about being a caregiver? (a). I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. (2). what makes me a great caregiver? There are four reasons of what make me a great caregiver they are: • Patience. When you work with someone who needs home care it is important that you are patient and understanding. It helps to sometimes put yourself in the other person’s shoes and see what it might be like to ask people for help. • Reliable. A great caregiver is someone that can be counted on to be there. If the caregiver says he or she is going to be there to provide home care every Thursday morning, then the caregiver shows up, unless there is an emergency. Those needing home care services need a reliable and dependable caregiver. • Trustworthy. Most people who need home care services are in a vulnerable position. They are inviting someone into their home to be near their valuables. A good caregiver is someone who is trustworthy in this regard, as well as in being trusted to keep the client’s information confidential. • Flexible. As with most things in life, home care needs may change and unexpected events can happen. A good caregiver will be prepared to go with the flow, being flexible, so that they continue to provide good home care, even if a rigid schedule isn’t being followed. (3) why did you become a caregiver? I have bring Caregiving for more than 4 years and “still love what I do”. I love providing home caregiving services to those that wouldotherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing.

I Would Be A Great Caregiver Because I Love To Socialize With People And Make People Feel Comfortable. I Know What It Is Like For A Family To Struggle With Caring For A Loved One, And I Chose To Be The Person That Can Offer Relief In That Very Difficult Time. I Am A Recent Graduate Of A Medical Assistant Program, & A Mother Of A 1 Year Old Daughter So I Understand What It Is To Feed, Clothe, Bathe, And Love Someone Daily. In My Training At School (Pennsylvania Institute Of Technology) I Learned CPR, How To Take Blood Pressure, How To Check Blood Sugar, How To Check For Respiration, Wrap Bandages, How To Dispense Medications, How To Bathe A Person etc. I Aspire To Make A Difference In At Least One Person's Life, Which I Believe Is One Of The Key Fundamentals To Healthcare, And I Solemnly Swear To uphold That Expectation.

I've worked in a myriad of settings from long/short term care to hospitals and in private homes. Nursing is my passion. I've known it from the very first duty I had to care for a family member full-time . It was exhausting and hard emotionally and physically at times but it was rewarding and it taught me that caring is an ART! If I'm chosen for consideration I can guarantee that I will treat clients and their families as I would my own family and it would be my sincere pleasure to assist in any/every way I can .

What makes me a great caregiver is that I have faith in helping others and I want to be helpful in humanity. I want to be a caregiver because when my mom was sick I always helped her and when she passed away I felt like I had a responisablity to help other sick people in the same way. I enjoy being a caregiver because at work I spend all my time doing something good that God appreciates. One personal achievement that I have is that I stuck with one of my patients who wasn't able to walk until she got better and started walking.
I used to work as a care giver for VNA (Visiting Nurses Association) as a HHA several years ago. I stopped because I needed full time hours at the time. I have experience working with cognitively delayed, physically challenged and dual diagnosed persons for more than twenty years. I've worked in Group Homes in South Jersey, as well as Ancora Psychiatric Hospital with patients who were deemed not guilty by reason of insanity. Both of these settings, allowed me the opportunity to work with individuals with various physical health illnesses, different personalities, and with severe mental diagnoses. I enjoy working with seniors. It gives me great joy to serve those in need. I'm easy to get along with, easy going, patient, caring, understanding, trust worthy, punctual, and treat others in the way that I want to be treated. I miss being a caregiver, thus is why I have decided to make myself available to serve others. One of my personal achievements is my ability to connect to all classes and races of people.
