I have been a lpn caregiver over 16 yrs. My father was the one who first brought up the ideal to go into nursing which turned out to be the greatest advice ever. I absolutely love what I do. I also feel a great sense of gratification knowing that I am able to make a difference in someone's life each and everyday.
Patience. Those who provide home care to others need to be patient. ...Compassion. When someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through.Attentiveness. ...Dependability. ...Trustworthiness Empathy and compassion. ... By showing both empathy and compassion caregivers will let the person they are caring for know that they care about the person and want to do what they can to help them. Taking care of people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them that care.
