I started caregiving as part time while in college and it turned out to be a humbling and rewarding career for me. My grandmother took me and my siblings in when we were small children, and as she got older, I felt that I had to return the favor when she was no longer able to do the things that she was able to do before, my loving grandmother is no longer with us anymore, so it's one of my passions to be of help to other individuals who may be a little more assistance rather that's personal care, housekeeping, running errands, companionship care, grocery shopping, medication, reminders, and much more. One of my personal achievements that I'm very proud of would be starting my own non-medical home care agency here in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is something that I'm very passionate about and something that I really enjoy doing.

I became a caregiver simply because I've always enjoyed taking care of people. When I was a little girl, I would take care of my mother when she became ill. She always encouraged me to become a nurse. Being a great caregiver is having compassion, a desire to ensure the well being of others and being dedicated to providing excellent care. I started giving care at a younger age, taking care of my auntie with a left-sided weakness due to stroke. It was within the family and a non-profit payment job but a rewarding one. I believe giving care is a calling not just a job. I felt a very great joy to be part of her life and assisting her with the rest of my family before her passing. It became part of me and decided to continue to give a helping hands to those who needed it, within my capabilities. You do unto others, as you wish to be done to you.
