I became a caregiver because of my mother who had developed Alzhiemers and Dementia. I loved every moment even after she didn't recognize me as her daughter. I am easy going, I work at the clients pace, I like to interact with the clients, by listening to their old stories, to playing board games. On nice days, I like to get the clients outside, so they can feel the sun on their face, and so they don't feel couped up inside. I could take them to the park, or go for a walk if they are capable. I always put my clients needs above mine. I try to keep a positive atmosphere , so the clients are happy. I have worked in nursing homes, so I have experience with handling Full Care Patients, I have worked in assited living home, so I have exerience with just assisting with my patients, and I have also been a Caregiver in Homehealth Care, so I have experienced patients who just wants Companionship; which is the best part of my job.

I am a recent college graduate who will be returning to school in the fall to study Nursing. I just recently moved to the Dover area and I am absolutely in love with the community. I currently work as a licensed STNA where I have the privilege of working with residents of the geriatric community and help those with late-stage dementia as well as those in our rehab unit perform ADLs and daily care. When I'm not at work, I love to travel, I love to write music, and I love to exercise. Anything to get me out of the house to do something productive! My long term career goals include becoming an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner.
