I enjoy caregiving as a profession. I am mindful of the client's safety, ADLs & happy to assist. I enjoy keeping a tidy household, cooking meals and going on outings, walking or driving. Dependability and reliability are important to me. I am patient and flexible. If a care plan is in place I have experience following and guiding the client in a positive manner. I have been a caregiver all my life, with my parents (whom have both transitioned), my grown children & clients. It comes natural for me & I am often taking on line courses to advance my knowledge. Please feel free to call me with any questions! I look foward to meeting you. Thank you, Jamie
I am patient and detail oriented, and attentive to patient care. I wanted to become a caregiver once I realized, how many people in the world are in need of care. I also realized how many people are being neglected when it comes to patient care, so initially I wanted to provide the proper care to people in need. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is providing and satisfying patient care needs, and creating a bond with my patients. I am proud that through being a caregiver I was able to also go to school, and receive a diploma in Medical Assisting. It has pushed me to want to further my education in medicine.
I enjoy helping people and supporting them to live the lives that they want to but are unable to on their own. I am a caring person, a hard worker and I pay close attention to details. I enjoy cooking and preparing meals and general house cleaning. My grandmother was a CNA at a hospital for over 14 years and I always wanted to help people like she did. I have been in the Health Care field for over 14 years , I started out as a CNA and found my way into the ID/DD community and I love it! I am licensed through the State of Oregon/ DHS and currently have my Provider/Personal Support Worker numbers through DHS and CDDP/CCMH for Developmental Disabilities.
I have over 28 years of caregiving experience and a heart for others. Especially those that reach a place in life, where care becomes needed. Part of my overall caregiving experience includes: Handicapped care, dementia care & memory challenged clients. Medication assistance & reminders and helping with all sorts of mobility needs. I am also individually focused on monitoring clients needs, and/or changes, along with companionship. I can provide personal transportation and assistance to activities and appointments, including doctor appointments, as well as pre & post-op surgery care. I offer experienced caregiving in all aspects of life and I truly enjoy working alongside families and my clients for all the different reasons care becomes needed. I love to laugh and also help my clients laugh, smile and enjoy their lives, no matter what phase of life they may be in. Making others comfortable and at ease with every person and their families are of utmost importance to me, as each are very unique and special. I am organized, detail oriented, a multi-tasker, prompt, trustworthy, creative, dependable and also a non smoker. My goals will always be, seeing those I care for and their families quality of life improved, stress relieved and working with individuals and their family's to make that happen. Thank you for considering me, Blessings, Lysa
My primary concern as a caregiver is to make sure that my client is able to function at the best of their ability and to make sure that they are having the highest quality of life that they are able to have. I am not only there for my client but I am also there for the family (such as: to let them go grocery shopping, are just to be another set of ears at doctor appointments or for the family. After a few days with the client and the family I begin to consider them family. I have a great amount of nurturing and empathy, some say I care to much but I give 150% to my clients and families. I enjoy order and dispensing medication, relating to my clients, enjoy the pass and working on family history. I have no parents or grandparents so my clients kind of fill these roles. I have been a first responder, EMT, CPR Instructor, nurse's aide, and medication aide. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is having a D.N.S. that I work with for a long time trust me to teach new nurse's the medication routine and to be a charge nurse. As a personal care giver the highest praise I can be given is for my client to tell me I must be an angel and that they love me.
I first started with caregiving for my dad 17 years ago when he was diagnosed with heart failure. After caring for him, I realized it is my passion to be there for others and give them care when it is needed most. It is a rewarding feeling for me. Since then, I have been providing care for others and truly enjoy it. I have been fortunate to meet wonderful people and always look forward to continue doing what I love.

I've always wanted to be in the health care field since I was a child. Being a caregiver for 21years has been a very rewarding line of work. I enjoy helping people and am very compassionate to those who can no longer care for themselves. A gentleman I worked with would never sleep in his room for some reason so a couple of us transformed his room. We painted it into a planetarium and he has slept in his room ever since.-- felt great to make him happy and comfortable, it was a great achievement for me because no one else could get him to rest in his room. The joy of making others happy lets me know im doing my job to the best of my ability. I do have a provider number with the state as a PSW and I'm First Aid CPR Certified.
