My experiences include but are not limited to childcare , caring for the elderly , those suffering from paralysis , visually / hearing impairment , mentally illness , digestive disorders , arthritis, obsessive compulsive disorders, amputees, wound care ( Levels 1 - 3 ) , dementia , companionship, working with those with behavioral issues, alzheimer's , eating disorders , handicapped, incontinent assistance / care, catheter care ( male & female ), direct care and live ins ( temporary and long term ),direct care , personal care / assistance , transferring, G tube feedings , mobility assistance , tracheotomy care , ostomy care, nutritious meal planning & preparation , respiratory care , managing and maintaining diabetes ( types 1 and 2 ) ,transporting / escorting , administering injections and medications, and range of motion , just to mention a few.

1) I'm passionate, caring, I love helping others to make them feel good 2) my mom got sick with cancer when I was 13 and I saw people having to take care of her and I could just see her eyes light up when people did the littlest of things for her to make her have a better day 3) I love care taking because of the stories you get told of their childhoods, and how they all grew up and from what I experienced they love to tell someone about their childhood if people would just listen to them 4) my favourite personal achievements is graduating high school and living through losing my mom at a young age and knowing that I'm gonna be okay

My personal traits that helps me be a great caregiver is having patience and being loving . What attracted me to being a caregiver is when i started helping my grandmother when she became sick and couldn't do anything for herself . What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is see the clients happy and comfortable . A personal achievement im proud of is knowing I took good and excellent care of my grandmother before she passed away .

I enjoy being able to help others with my good communication and great work ethics. I became a caregiver due to my father becoming sick three years ago and took care of him at home rather than hospitalization. I find in home care to be more personal and compassionate care. I also feel that people recover faster when surrounded with their familiar items. I love the fact of being helpful and feel that i am giving back to a generation that is wise and strong and should be respected for what they have left for the younger generations. I started a flower garden for elderly and youths five years ago and it was a beautiful experience for the young who had never gardened and for the elderly; some who had no grandchildren. I believe that in life you can learn a lot from the past. I love history and being around to lend a helping hand. I have worked for several non profit organizations as a director and have excellent references and people skills.I am trustworthy and dependable, work well under pressure, take constructive criticism well and a great team player.
