Caregiving is my heart and my passion. Providing care to anyone in bed is incredibly fulfilling to me. Sometimes you know the direction life is going to take you and other time you don't know where you're going until you get there. Becoming a caregiver was something I fell into and have loved since the moment i arrived. The relationships I've built are irreplaceable and I'm proud of the work I've done. I've helped to improve the quality of life for those otherwise unable to thrive on their own. In particular I am proud of the work I've done with those suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's. Bringing some light back into their world and keeping them comfortable and safe requires patience, compassion, and flexibility every day. I am proud of my work and honored to care for those living with the disease.

Skills & Certifications: Alzheimer's Disease, Arthritis, Geriatric Care Manager (GCM), Cardiovascular Disorders, Dementia, Depression, Diabetes, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hearing Disorders, Home Health Care, Hospice Care, Neurological Disorders, Orthopedic Care, Parkinson's Disease, Post Surgery Recovery, Stroke, Skin Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, Vision and Eye Disorders

I started caregiving 5 years ago and have enjoyed it ever since. I have always enjoyed being around seniors and have always been one to help others. My favorite part about being a caregiver is the feeling of purpose. It means a lot to me knowing that I can make a difference in someone else's life. I become very close to my clients and enjoy building strong client-caregiver relationships! My care experience has varied and it has helped me become a well rounded caregiver. Some of the services I provide include housekeeping, bathing/grooming, incontinence care, meal prep, transportation, and more! Outside of caregiving, I nanny for a family with 2 children in NE Fresno and I am a volunteer soccer coach for youth girls at Saroyan Elementary!

Devoting most of my time to the care of someone else is one of the most selfless things someone can do, but it's not only about the time involved. Being able to understand the person you're caring for, knowing their problems, challenges and desires will not only make it easier to care for them, but will undoubtedly improve the relationship you have with each other. Empathy is a big aspect of that, and being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes and be empathetic will only increase the quality of care you're providing. As instrumental as caregivers are, communication is key. It can be something as simple as going through the day's schedule, or complicated as discussing health concerns, but no matter what it is, it must be done well. Subpar communication will do nothing beneficial for the relationship, and in fact, could damage it. Furthermore, as it's likely there's more than one caregiver in the individual's life, and because of all the moving parts, communication is key to get information to all the relevant parties. Whether it's relaying health information or just remaining congenial, communication between caregivers is important, second only to communicating with the individual.

Skills & Certifications: Vision and Eye Disorders, Stroke, Home Care Aide (HCA), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Respiratory Disorders, Renal and Urological Disorders, Skin Disorders, Post Surgery Recovery, Parkinson's Disease, Palliative Care, Neurological Disorders, Orthopedic Care, Multiple Sclerosis, Hospice Care, Home Health Care, HIV/AIDS, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hearing Disorders, Diabetes, Depression, Dementia, Cardiovascular Disorders, COPD, Cancer Recovery, Blood Disorders, ALS, Arthritis, Alzheimer's Disease
