Being a caregiver has always been a passion of mine starting back in high school. I started as a CNA for many years, eventually going back to school for more training and completing the LPN course. I continue to provide caregiver services to many families in Vero Beach. CPR/First aid certified. Flexible hours and days.

Although I enjoyed my "work", the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences were the relationships I made with my patients. I have also worked in home health and have cared for patients that have had strokes, dementia and cancer. My passion is making each and every one of my patients know that I respect them as a person, I value their life experiences, where they came from and the wisdom they have gained over the years. My personality is always extremely cheerful, positive and upbeat and it is contagious! I looked forward to seeing and interacting with them and they with me! My dad had Alzheimer's and I assisted in his care and managed his medical care until his death. I was his voice when he no longer had one. Over the years I have also helped take care of grandparents and other family members. This gave me the experience and ignited the fire and passion I have for elder care, I am their biggest "cheerleader" and best friend but also know how to encourage and be firm when it is tied directly to their medical well being!

I have been a Certified Medical assistant for 28 years I have specialized in Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Cardiology, and Ear, Nose and Throat. I enjoy being around other people and being able to help them with their needs. It gives me great pleasure and joy when I'm able to make others feel better. I was a caregiver for my father for many years and I feel that that experience coupled with my medical assisting experience has made me more empathetic to people's situations.

After high school I worked with children for 8 years in group homes and in a psychiatric hospital before discovering Occupational Therapy. For the last 11+ years I have worked in skilled nursing facilities working with older adults with disabilities as an Occupational Therapy Assistant to increase their independence with meaningful activities. I enjoy making a positive impact in peoples lives by providing encouragement and love using humor in my work. I recently moved from Maine to Florida and am licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, with a current NBCOT certification.

I have been in the medical field for 20 years working in doctor's offices. My passion is to be a caregiver now. I realize that patients with dementia and Alzheimer's need special care and patience. I have also work with Parkinson's patients. I am medically knowledgeable such as medication and conditions of the patient and when my other patient was in the hospital they wanted me there so that I could speak with the doctor and relay all the information to the family. I am very detail-oriented and punctual.
