Since I was a young girl, I have always taken great interest in caring for others. I usually am able to tell what someone I'm caring for needs before they even know they need it. I take great pride in being able to make someone laugh or smile as I am a big kid at heart.. You're only as old as you feel.. To me, being a caregiver is effortless, although I put my all into my patients and their needs.

I have a huge amount of empathy and passion for helping people. I'm attracted to being a caregiver because it's one to one interaction with people. I enjoy getting to spend time with people hear their stories and help with needs that I take for granted every day. I personal achievement I'm proud of is graduating from college .

Hello! My names Latoya. I was a teacher for 20yrs in Virginia. Moved to the Myrtle Beach area about 3 years ago. I've always had an interest non working with children, but also just working with people in general. I always been a people person. I love to establish and build relationships. Love to see that I can make a difference in someone's life and make them smile. Love seeing them happy, love to help them as well. Im compassionate, empathetic, a good listener, reliable, caring, considerate. Im a crafty and creative person as well. Just to name a few characteristics that portray. Since I moved to Myrtle beach I had many opportunities to venture out and work with amazing people. Whether it was me working at Hilton Grand Vacations, to working in a Behavioral Health Facility as a Behavioral Technician to an Assisted Living at one facility as a Activities Assistant and and the Art Therapist to another facility as a Med Tech/Caregiver to and RBT and now here. I really love networking and meeting new people. I have years of experience working with Alzheimer's, dementia, feeding, preparing meals, bathing, total care and all mechanical devices etc. I have 3 children which 2 is serving in the Arm Force and one daughter. I came from a family where we all worked into the medical field caring and always helping others. A few years ago my father became ill and was diagnose with stomach cancer along with having dementia. I realized being a care giver and caring for others it took a special person to do this and I realized that I had to find someone just like me to help with caring for my father until his passing. I must say that if you are looking for someone to give you a peace of mind, have patience and understanding with a positive attitude look no further. # Vaccinated with COVID 19 vaccine as well.

I am extremely patient and I enjoy being able to assist others with tasks they are struggling with. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. My greatest personal achievement was transitioning into a position where I am the owner of my own company, which gives me the flexibility to choose when and where I want to work and what I feel called to do.

Honestly, I've always had a giving personality and I like helping people. But I'd love to tell you a story, which really helped me make this decision. When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother was left alone. Plus, her arthritis was starting to worsen, and she began having more and more trouble preparing her meals, bathing, and getting her groceries. So I became her caregiver. I stayed with my grandma for longer hours than was expected typically playing some Patti Labelle (her favorite music) while telling stories about growing up in Miami. That was very soothing for my grandma, and that inspired me to join this field.

I'm Kelly! I am a very easy going and sweet caregiver. I am super reliable and great at what I do. I have been doing this for 4 years and i have experience in many areas such as dementia care, Parkinson's disease, colostomy care, immobility and bed bound, lift assist, cooking , cleaning and pet care. My grandmother is the reason I became a caregiver, her dementia inspired me to want to help others the way I want her to be helped. Now that I can't help her as much I get a genuine fulfillment from helping other peoples mother's and grandparents it makes me feel like I have a huge purpose. I am very proud of all the skills I have learned in this field and I am in nursing school trying to further my education.

I started off taking care of my great grandma at a very young age. I loved every minute of helping her out so I tried being a caregiver about 6 years ago and fell in love with helping people out in ways they can't help themselves with daily stuff/just being a shoulder to cry on or a open ear. Seeing the smiles and knowing I can help and make stuff easier for people makes me feel great. I love doing what I do and helping people out.
