Im upbeat, energetic, silly by nature, understanding and compassionate. I can be a strong leader and motivate others but I tend to do it through a combination of reason meets humour. I love the outdoors and love helping others stay independent. I know what its like to be on the recieving side of care so it really means a lot to me to preserve dignity and be a friend to my clients. I have extensive experience and training, am prompt and dependable. I am a problem solver and athough my demeanor is best described as silly, I am a professional and conduct myself as such. Humour is just a great way to connect and lighten the mood when things are otherwise difficult. I am proud of a great many accomplishments throughout my career, my greatest achievment is my ability to help someone go from being about to be placed into a long term care facility, to being completely able to function on their own without me. A little know how, hard work, time, and TLC can go a long way to restoring independence.

I am a retired physical therapist assistant. My background is primarily in geriatric rehabilitation, wound care, stroke recovery, exercise programs, ambulatory activities, etc. I have recently been employed as a home health care aide. Duties include: light house keeping, meal preparation, exercise, and medication reminders. I also have been trained in both crisis intervention and grief counseling.

**UPDATE 10/2020 I am not taking any shifts for now as I have taken on full time homeschooling my two sons. I will update this profile once I am back in the field. Unfortunately at this point, my boys go everywhere with me therefore the only job types I accept are those in which I can bring them with me. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I hope to return to the normal job hunt soon. Thank you! I'm a head strong mother of 3, entrepreneur, and wife! My passion comes with my personality of always being a "momma hen" which is what I love and why I'm great at...taking care of people. I strive for the best care of my patients and treat them as my own family because ultimately that's what they become, an extension of your heart and life. I have a very wide and extensive knowledge in all areas of care from nursing home long term care to hospital emergency room and pre/post surgical patients. I am very confident that I am a good fit for any patient and want to make sure that their family members feel that confidence in hiring me for their loved ones care. My availability as of right now is Monday- Friday 7am-5pm and this is subject to change and willing to negotiate other shifts when I have availability. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is the fact the I can help someone in their time of need. My grandmother and my sister is what lead me to the passion of becoming a Certified Nurse Aide. I enjoy seeing the smiles and warm looks on my patient's face as I do my job with pride and dignity.
