I have Self-control, sincere, devoted, generous, and kind. As a mother, and someone who came from a large family in which caregiving is rooted deep in my culture, I always wanted to take caregiving as a career and improve along that pathway. I like to entertain, converse, and read aloud to keep my patients or resident's alert. I also like to run errands and do weekly grocery shopping for them. In 2015 I started giving care to a couple. The wife pre-deceased the husband whom I continue to take care of. It has been 7 years now and counting, the children of this patient no longer consider me as a caregiver, but a family member because (according to them) of the 5-star care that I give to their dad. This is my personal achievement that I am most proud of in my career as a care giver.

I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I enjoy getting to know people and also taking care of them. When I was a little girl my mom was a single mother so my grandparents always took care of me so my mom was able to work. I always said I would take care of my grandmother when the time came, unfortunately my grandmother passed away due to Parkinson's however I continued being a caregiver and treat every client I have as one of my grandparents. I love getting to know others and how life growing up was for them. They offer me so much wisdom and knowledge! I am cpr/first aid cert, PCA, Medication Aide, Covid Vaccinated and boosted, I also have a negative tb as well. What makes me a great caregiver is the opportunity to take care of some great people who need help and appreciate good help.
