I like to make my patients laugh, regardless of what the task is, whether I am helping them clean up an accident, or helping them get dressed, it can be a fun experience for both of us. I have received personal letters saying thank you for being so kind and patiently caring, from families and patients themselves. I am, also skilled at what I do. I do things thoroughly. I am stronger than I look, I can easily transfer people larger and taller than me. I know when to lower someone to the ground during transfers to prevent them from falling and hurting themselves. I know how to determine normal vital signs, and blood sugar levels. I have worked in nursing facilities with a CNA license, it is currently expired, and I will hopefully be re-taking the exams soon. I thoroughly enjoy card games, music, and puzzles. I am getting pretty good at sewing, I made the curtains in my home, and a few other things. I am pretty content do to most things. I do have a cat allergy though.
I am a married 54 year old woman with three grown daughter's and 6 grandchildren of my own and 2 step children and 3 grandchildren. I have had several clients that I have been assisting. I also took care of my mother and father towards the end of their lives. I am a very compassionate caring individual. I enjoy being able to assist people in need. I have a client at this time that I take shopping and to her doctor appointments. I sort her meds for her so that she gets what she needs on a daily basis. I habe a huge heart and a lot of love to share. There are not enough caring compassionate loving people out there to be with our senior adults. I have taken several courses to better myself for the best Adult care services possible.
I have nearly a decade in healthcare experience. I have worked in short term care (post surgery), critical care and long term care. I am patience and understanding. When I care for someone I make sure to put their needs first. I am positive and uplifting and won't bring negativity into their environment. Helping people is what attracted me to become a caregiver. What I enjoy most about becoming a caregiver is seeing people become healthy again. My personal achievement is controlling my personal blood sugar by making better life choices. My fee is also negotiable.
I'm a great caregiver, because of my compassion for people, especially senior care, developmentally disabled, those who can't speak for themselves, both verbally or non-verbally, being a voice. I've always been attracted to caregiving from a young child. Since caring for both parents, and family members. I enjoy being a part of helping others have a quality of life, through love, care and spiritual enlightenment that they otherwise may not have access to. It is a blessing to help others have an extended quality of life, that may not have otherwise been realized.
Hello, My name is Benta Russell. I began my personal-care career with Synod Residential Service, in August 2013. I have always done personal-care work since I was a young girl. Growing up in Kenya, it was my responsibility to care for my family's elderly. Every day I would take care of my grandparents by fetching them water from the river, cooking their meals. I also did their laundry, cleaned their dishes, and house. One of the many things I have learned throughout the years is that it is very important to be patient and understanding when providing aid to an individual. All the people I have helped have had different strengths and weaknesses, and as the personal-aide, it was my responsibility to understand this in order to adapt to the individual's needs. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is developing a relationship with the client. As the relationship grows it becomes more than a job and is like finding a new friend. This is important to me because it makes the work that much more enjoyable for both the client and myself. My greatest achievement so far was getting my degree from Washtenaw Community College. There were many days and nights when I wanted to throw my textbooks in the garbage and walk away from school, but I didn't do that. I stuck it through to the end and am very proud to have earned my degree.

I lived with them because it was easier for me. I cared for my aunt and uncle He had cancer and she had triple by pass .. I often watched tv with my uncle because he could move around alot......what I enjoy the most about being a care giver is the happiness that it brings to the people I care for. What attracted me to care giving was the need and the way I felt when giving care.
What makes me a great caregiver is how I treat people with the respect and love they deserve. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my mom, i watched other people take care of her so I wanted to give the same love back to others who are in need. What I mostly enjoy about being a caregiver is helping people. A personal achievement I am proud of is how many people I've helped in my lifetime with my caregiving career:)
