Hi, my name is Brianna and the things that make me a great caregiver are compassion, patience empathy and willingness to do whatever it takes to help someone. I have been a cna for 5 years now and have worked in just about every health care setting and with all types of patients, Caregiving is not just a job. It is a chance to help someone else's situation or life be a little easier. It's a way to show someone cares about them and in return those who help actually end up learning something from those they help. What i really enjoy most about being a caregiver is the conversation and stories about their lives and to see how no matter how different we could be their are still similarities found . Everyone needs to have personal goals and achievements. I am proud of all my achievements in my life but my top two are graduating from college and having my son. Two things I have always wanted since I knew what I wanted to be and do in life.

For 25 years I worked as a retail pharmacist and I have always loved talking to people and helping them understand their medicines. However, I have really enjoyed the satisfaction that comes from providing one on one care. I have been an in home caregiver for over a year now and I love learning from my clients. One has taught me some amazing old recipes and another loves telling me about life when she was a little girl almost 90 years ago. I love bringing a smile to my clients' faces and a sense of calm and peace to their lives.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm patient, attentive, caring, loyal, dependable, compassionate and most of all I provide care from the heart as if I was caring for my own love one. What attracted me to being a caregiver is during my childhood I gained a passion for caring for other people after taking care my dad, grandmother, and mom. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I can be of assistant to people that still have strive in life but just need companionship and a caring heart to help them get through their daily task like they use to. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is being in the healthcare field for 8 plus years and now have now started my own Companion Care Sitter Service to provide Heaven Sent care to people and their loved ones.

I consider myself to be an excellent caregiver because of my high level of patience, empathy, and compassion for others. I am also very dependable, reliable, knowledgeable, and have a keen sense of observation when patient care is involved. I have been a dedicated caregiver for ten (11) years. I became attracted to being a caregiver after making weekly visits to the nursing home and retirement home to have lunch with family members. My visits would always turn into me helping other residents that lived at these homes. It warmed my heart to put a smile on their faces while assisting them with their needs. Knowing that I have the ability to make a difference in someone's life brings a great amount of joy to my heart. Helping the elderly gives me a greater sense of purpose and a profound sense of gratitude for having this unique ability. Also, I enjoy getting to know the person that I'm caring for, as well as, helping to maintain their quality of life. Being a caregiver has been very rewarding for me, and I have accomplished so many things in the process. At my very first position as a caregiver, I became the team leader of the group that I worked alongside. I received the proper training, became CPR and BLS certified, educated patients and their family members on the patient's physical disabilities, and directed a team of five (5) caregivers in the absence of a nurse without incident. As a team leader, and by recommendation of staff and family members on the exceptional care that I provided, I decided to make life as a caregiver more engaging and valuable. I opened my own private caregiving service and have been in business for ten (9) years.

I have work with people who have Alzheimer's tracheotomy, dialysis I can take blood give insuline, dispense medicine, use a hoyer lift, change dipers give bed baths and showers assist in walking and help with physical and occupational therapy, I also cook and clean. I love being able to go into someone's household and be an asset to them helping to live out the the rest of their life or just helping them have the best quality of life living at home and being comfortable there. I am also a Medical Assistant and CPR and First Aide certified. I also have 16 years experience

I have took care of different types of residents like stroke, dementia and cerebral palsy. I became a caregiver after taking care of my great grandmother in high school. I enjoy seeing a smile on my residents face and making them laugh.

I am a very caring person i love taking care of others i have patience with people i listen and help with everything they need what i enjoy most about being a caregiver is to make them comfortable and happy with life and let them know that care i am here to help and a personal achievement that i am proud of that i took care of my grandma that was fighting cancer for four a couple years and that's what made me a stronger individual to help and care.

Why I became a caregiver Growing up in a family of medical professionals I surely thought that one day I would become a nurse. After watching my mom take care and aid the sick in her home, I knew I wanted to become more hands-on with patients. While still in high school, I became a volunteer patient assistance for a local Nurse home, helping out with medical records and little jobs as needed around the Nurse. Being surrounded on a daily basis by this kind of environment is what made me want to become a caregiver. After high school I became a childcare provider in a facility, and I ran my own daycare from my home. Although I loved what I did, it didn't bring me as much joy as caring for the elderly. What do I like about being a caregiver. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders.I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like doing a variety of tasks in a day.
