I am a retired Caregiver with over 35 years of experience. I acquired my experience by working in Hospitals, Home Care Agencies, as a Private Caregiver and Caregiving for family members. My Mother steered me in this direction when I was around 8 years old, by having me help her older friend that was just discharged from the hospital & Caregiving has been my calling since. As we age and live by ourselves, it's not as easy to take care of ourselves & we may need some helping hands, that are trustworthy, to remain in our home. I have a nurturing personality and find much satisfaction helping someone continue to remain in their home.

What attracted me to be a caregiver is when my grandmother got very sick and I was the only one willing to help her for 2 years. I got really into it and enjoyed what I did. I realized I didn't want to just help my grandmother I wanted to help other people as well. I have 4 years experience with the I.H.S.S. program and 1 year in a assisted living facility, Sierra Manor which specialized in Alzheimer and Dementia patients. Within a short time I was promoted to a Med Tech, a position in which I totally fell in love with.
