I was caregiver for my dad for ten years he needed me to care for his daily needs. After his second brain surgery that he lost his long term memory. I couldn't mind since my dad cared for me when I was a baby to teen-years. So I couldn't turn my back on him. Plus as a nurse assistance it is my job to care for the client in their time of need. That I gave my dad the best care as a parent would give to a child. I am the mother of two grown children a son and a daughter and my son-In-law and two grandchildren Autumn and Gabriel. I became a can in 1991 lookin for a different career path then . worked in nursing rehabilitation home for 3 years learned so much . I did work in for agencies for in home visits as well for the next 7 years. I continued my education in Georgia to become a cma certified medical assistant. I have recently taken a can course at Cumberland health center . recertified can cpr/ first aid .
