I genuinely care about others, no matter the age. Outside of my wishes of being a medical assistant, I wanted to be a caregiver because I would have one-on-one time with the person. This desire of mine grew as I started working for Clark Lindsey. As a waitress, I get to know the residents to an extent. The reason I joined Synergy (home health care), was to be a companion to residents that may not have that or any type of care as they used to. Knowing that they don't get to see their loved ones as much as they want to, I feel even closer to them because I feel like I can be that person for them-someone who is close to them, cares for them, provides safety, and to really listen and have interest in them. For the client that I currently have as well as others in the past, I learn a lot of life experiences from them and I love to see their eyes light up when they tell me parts of their past as if they are reliving it again and again. Lastly, my personal achievements that I'm proud of happens at Clark Lindsey and with a client I used to have. At Clark Lindsey, when residents would come up to me (when I'm working, or just visiting) telling me that they always enjoy seeing me, always makes my day. Also, recently with a client, I aided in the recovery of one walking again. Even though, I don't see him anymore, I'm happy that he is with his wife and truly happy.

Hi my name is Jennifer and I have always enjoyed taking care of people in one fashion or another. I became a CNA in 1993 in NC and worked in many different venues ie; Ltc facilities hospitals , home health and agency. The medical field always has fascinated me so here I am almost 30 years still involved in it. I have also work as a customer service representative so I never ventured far from dealing with people. If I can impact a person's life by helping in a small way then I have served my purpose for that given day. One of my hardest experiences I have ever endured was when I took care of my Mom when she was given a terminal diagnosis of cancer. That in itself showed me that my job as a caregiver is always needed desperately.

I grew up with a huge family, my mother was a Foster care provider, my dad was a Chief Fireman, I am the youngest of 8children, I grew up watching my mom take care of handicapped children my entire life, I always loved seeing how happy it made her to be able to help someone, even if it were just by giving that child love, I've grown to follow her footsteps and I just love being able to help someone if I can, even if can't make them better health wise, I can help them feel better emotionally, everyone deserves the BEST CARE POSSIBLE, that's why I love doing this job! I'm experienced in all aspects of Nursing, I've done pretty much everything expected, I am Certified in Nursing, I'm in school for Phlebotomy, I worked 15yrs in Dementia Care, as well as Alzheimers. I'm very fun to be around and love the new experiences with each client.

I have over 20 years of experience in the caregiving field, both live in and live out situations. I am highly skilled in grooming toileting bathing dressing and transferring of elderly. I am well versed in assisting clients with activities of daily living and I have demonstrated ability to record and report changes in residents eating habits to supervisor or family. Because I am a very compassionate person, patient and fine seniors and elderly people very interesting to spin time with, the thaught of being able to help someone that truly appreciate the help we give. A caregiver isn't a job for just anyone. You have to have special characteristics to provide excellent care, I am honest, trustworthy, friendly, punctual, caring, good listener, patient and selfless. My happiness comes from helping others. As I grew up I took care of myself, as a teen I moved in with my grandparents so I could take care of them ever since then it's always been my dream to help others. Also I have worked in nursing homes and it broke my heart to see how residents are cared for. People seem happier in their own homes so if there is something I can do to help them stay in their home I will do it. Through the years I've had several clients, I have never had a client that has not liked me. I am proud to say that I have brought happiness to other people's lives and provided the best care that I could.

I am a dedicated caregiver with empathy and understanding. I connect really well with my patients and home care clients and just love taking care of others. I've done homecare on the side and currently have a client I'm taking care of as well. I've been in healthcare since 2009 and started out with Alzheimer's and started working on oncology in 2014. I am in the LPN program currently and graduating in December of 2019 & waiting time be accepted into the lpn to RN program. :)

I have been a caregiver for a little over two years now and have learned a lot. I have had experience in a nursing home, a hospital, and a group home. When I first started out I was very unsure about my job. I knew that I wanted to help people in need but didn't know if this was going to be the job for me. The longer I am in the medical field the more I love my job. I put 100% into my job and take care of my clients/residents. I am loyal, trustworthy, and very dependable. I have been raised to always treat others like you would want to be treated, respect everyone, and be kind. I remember while I was working in the nursing home I loved talking with the residents, they had a lot of cool fun stories of their lives. In all I am very compassionate about my job. At the end of the day it puts a smile on my face knowing I have made someone smile today.

I believe I am a great caregiver because I genenuinely care about the people and not just the paycheck. It is a great feeling to know that you made someone's day by even spending time with them and talking to them.
